urgent help!

For some reason, when I play silkroad, I cannot read the text. It only shows [][][][][][][][] throughout the whole text and so I cannot read it. I really need help ASAP.

Are you playing a version in a different language? Usually, that only happens when they are displaying characters from another language. My internet browser used to show empty boxes when I visited Chinese websites until I downloaded the font. (Although I think most computers come with fonts from various languages these days.)
