your day has been unplesant,do your pets respond differently to your mood,or do they act the same as any other day?

Yes they do! One time I was so sad and I just sat on the stairs staring blankly in space. To my surprise, my terrier was beside me staring at me with such lonely eyes. She was as if asking why I was sad or something. The other day, while driving with my labrador puppy, a cab driver coming from the opposite lane took my lane and almost caused an accident. I wanted to curse and swear. Really I did! As if on cue, my pup jumped from her seat to my lap and started licking my chin. I was surprised by such action and so I forgot about the cab driver and what he did. Cute huh?

I find that my dog feeds off of my emotions without any kind of verbal signs. He always seems a bit more energyful on those days that are going just right, avoids me when I'm pisses, and give me extra nudges and licks on those days where I am stuck in a rut. I feel as though he senses the way I feel. It's strange but at the same time makes me love him move because that bond is there.

Usually my rot/blue heeler mix can tell when I am having a very bad day (lots of those lately). He usually runs and hides whenever I am cursing and yelling. I try not to do it to much because I know what he's been through in the past. He knows it's not his fault because after I am done getting over my bad day I will usually call him and he will come to me, put his two front paws on my knee and just stare at me while I pet him. It makes the day close with a good end for the both of us.

What an unusual mix miller1978...our Pets are more understanding then we are I feel on the subjects of moods etc,it is lovely to know you both have such a great understanding of each other.Sure does make you melt when the eye thing happens!Talk with their eyes most, seems at times our two pooches look right into our very core. Cheers
