Calling the Parole Board

So I need to do this today for the first time and I have to tell you...I'm having major anxiety about it :-/ but i'm not sure why....I know its PARTLY becuase we'll be seriously upset if he DOESNT get parole but its not like I am entitled to the decision information anyway..All they can tell me is whether or not a decision has been made and roughly when his GreenSheet has or will be sent to him...So whats up with the anxiety?? Has anyone with a loved on in the system had to call the PB? How did it go for you?

Thanks Gnostic...sadly after 3 calls it DIDNT but only becuase it hasnt been long enough yet :-/ So if he doesnt hear anything by the end of the month I'll call again...Lucky me LOL

I am sorry to hear of your anxiety over this. :( I cannot relate to the situation, but I DO know all about the anxious feelings when dealing with the court system in general. I am sure those people get phonecalls like yours all the time, and are used to the questions. Just take a few deep breaths before you call, and maybe have the questions written out in front of you to read from, in case the anxiety takes over and thensome. Good luck!
