I recenly heard about HGH [human growth hormone] when I heard about Sylvester Stallone saying that he takes it and he says "you should too." What exactly is it? What effect does it have on your body?

That is one of the things some people use to make them look better, bulk up etc. It is illegal for the average person to use. Even ballplayers. Roger Clemens is accused of using it. Some people think it is a kind of fountain of youth. One big problem with it is while it is a growth hormone it also makes things like tumors grow. Clinically it is used for some diseases including HIV/AIDS as well as some genetic problems. It should only be used for specific diseases. Doctors dont approve it for use like some athletes (or actors) to use to make them look better, or gain a physical advantage in sport.
