24 won't return until January

Well, I just read the news and I'm quite disappointed the latest season won't be shown until January 2009. I understand the fact that they want to show the whole season w/o any breaks & to do that they would have to show season finale in the middle of summer. That means that I can't see Jack Bauer save the world for another almost 11 months.
I was also actually terribly disappointed with Kiefer Sutherland and his DUI arrest/jail anyway--but I was still looking forward to seeing 24.

It won't show until January of next year??? Awww.. I was hoping it show last month. I was waiting and waiting and it wouldn't show. I am so disappointed. Next year is a long time to wait. I love 24. Some season sucks, but I still like 24.

Yup, they just announced it today. Due to the writer's strike, they only had 7-8 shows taped and now they can't get them all in so that the season finale would be during a "sweep" week. I agree some of the season's have been disappointing, but overall I'm pretty pleased from an entertainment perspective. The first season is still my favorite and the 3rd is my least favorite.

aww man that sucks. I was really hoping that it would come back after the whole writers strike was over. As far as his DUI, it was a disappointment, but he took his punishment like a man and handled his business. The only celeb out there that creep and crawl through the system to get a break from serving time. Im glad he is done with that and gearing up for another great season of 24. Last season was great.

I was really disappointed, too. I only watch 3 shows with any regularity and 24 is one of them.
Well, that gives us something to look forward to next year, right? With all the political crap we'll be getting in January of 2009 no matter who is elected, 24 will be a port in the storm! :-)
