Wedding Rituals....Bad Luck or Not?

Ok, so many of you may not be married, but this is not only for married men and women. How many of you have seen your husband/wife on the day of your wedding before the actual marriage? Also, has your husband, (or have you, if you are the husband) seen the wedding dress before the ceremony? And for those of you that are single out there, will you be following the above 'rituals' of marriage along with the many others? I'm currently single, and I think that the wedding dress should be a surprise, but would love to see my hubby to be the morning of. Thank you to all for your responses :o)

As you know.. we broke all those traditional rules. lol. We just had a small, very small, wedding, and i didn't even have an official wedding dress, I dont think that it should cost so much to get married!! I think it cost our guests more to come to our wedding then it did for our rings and ceremony! lol. They had a long drive, and their car broke down.

LOL - I broke both traditions. My hubby and I live together in a city separate from my family. So we had several overnight guests staying with us the night before our wedding. Actually I only got about an hours sleep!! If my family had lived in the same town I probably would have kept this tradition though :) Seems kind of nice :) The wedding dress I did want to keep a secret but the hubby insisted he see it before hand because he wanted to see what he was paying for LOL (since we paid for it too). BUT we're nearly 7 years married and going strong and still very much in love :) We're not too much into superstition but I do love traditions and keeping them alive too. My sister did keep both traditions when she got married.
