What Kind of dogfood do you feed your dog? And why? I feed mine diamond puppy food becuase that is what the breeder was feeding the puppy and I don't want to introduce anything new .. Plus I research the food and it's one of the best out there for the puppy beside wolf cub. so my fellow dog lovers what do you feed your dog and why and do you check to see what it's made of?

I feed mine Diamond too..it's also pretty cheap compared to others. I checked at first to see what was in it and I trust that it's good for my dogs. They seem to like it. :)

I talked to the breeder and to the people at petco who say that diamond is a step down from their Wolf cub which is supposed to be top of the line. So I trust it. plus the puppy is doing good on it. LOL!! Have a nice day hun.

sorry can't help you there on the rottie eating less. I know that big dogs have big appetites. LOL!!My little guy doesn't eat a lot yet, but that's because he's a little pup. When he gets older he's going to be eating as much as my kids. Yesterday my puppy almost ate my other half because my other half had some grease on his finger from making homemade philly steak and cheese pizza and frost was licking the grease off and was going to eat his hand. LOL!!

My Rottie has eaten it forever and he is healthy as a horse even at 11, he's going on 12 and for a Rot that's old. He acts like a pup still..I don't know if the food has anything to do with it but I do know that it isn't hurting. Plus he has no stomach problems or anything. Now if he would just eat less..

I feed my dogs Diamond as well, though it is the Lamb and Rice formula. I like that it doesn't have ingredients like artificial colors or flavors. It's not the best dog food when it comes to grading. It scored a B, but it is definitely better than a lot of other brands out there. I used to feed my dogs Canidae (which scored an A+), but it is too costly for my family so we switched them to Diamond. Check out the link below to see how your dog food scores overall. You may be surprised at the results. http://www.acreaturecomfort.com/ratingpetfood.htm

I was going to buy wolf cub which is the puppy version of the wolf king and wolf king scored a A+ But it was a little too expensive for my taste.

My dog could double as a miniature pony but we still feed him Purina Kibbles and Chunks. He has a cast iron stomach and can eat anything from the table and usually does so we just give him a bowl of the purina to snack on during the day. One thing he can't eat is any pig product. Well he CAN eat it but for the sanctity of my home we don't feed it to him because the stench of the gas he would let out would surely drive us all screaming from the home.
