No electricity still....

Yup, it's been a week. Well, it will be tomorrow (monday). I just want to go home and sleep in my own bed under my fluffy down comforter. You just don't realize how good it is until you don't have it anymore.
Let me back up for those of you who are confuses. Last Monday there was a bad ice storm here (southern IL). It took out the majority of the electric in town. Well, I am on a coop since I live in the country and I still don't have power. I am unsure of the exact time the power went out since I was in bed. I woke up at 12:30am and the power was off. I put my daughter in my bed since that meant no heat as well. Also meant no water since my well runs on an electric pump. Wonder if I can have that changed?
I have my laptop at my parents which is where I am staying. I have not been on as much as usual though. I've only made 8cents this week, I believe.
Just wanted to let everyone know I am still out there.

well, now i understand, the other discussion has broken sentence so i didnt know why you dont have electricity..
hmm, that must be terrible..
it must be so hard..
how did you manage things like food storage? water since you use electric pump..?
its better to stay there a while, they have electricity? good thing your parents are there..
i hope this will be resolve soon.. so you can start living normally again, as well participate more to earn in mylot..

My parent's electric came back on last Monday night. They have ameren cips. Did I mention that a tree fell on my car? As soon as I get back home and get the pics on the computer I will upload them to a discussion so everyone can see. I hope they get my electric back on soon as well. I talked to them today and they are hoping to get a lot accomplilshed tomorrow. Cross you fingers. Well, maybe you should pray. LOL.

We also have no water when the power goes out. It is terrible. I am lucky though our power was only out for a total of about 9 hours. It was out one day came on before it got dark out and went back out the next morning and came back on before the sun went down again. I was out of power in the summer 2 years ago when I lived in St. Louis for 6 days. That was no fun either. I hope you get it back on soon.

Yes, it definitely sucks. It will be one week tomorrow. I want my bed so bad. Sick and tired of sleeping on the couch at my mom & dad's. But grateful that I have somewhere to go and didn't have to go to a hotel or buy a generator. At least I am saving a little money. And some propane, lol.
