Do You Have A Schedule For Cleaning The House?

I used to have a schedule to clean the house. I did laundry on Monday and Thursday. I vacuumed and mopped every day. I dusted every two days. I got really sick a year and a half ago and now I cannot keep a schedule. I have to clean when I am able. I hate doing this as I am the type of person who is a planner carrying schedule person. LOL Do you have a schedule that you keep the home clean?

I don't really have a schedule. I just clean when I know it needs done. Sometimes I don't clean anything for quite awhile, and then when I realize that everything really needs a good cleaning, that's when I break everything out and begin doing what needs done. I guess I just stick to a as needed basis.

Absolutely, at 10:00a I don't do it, at 12:00p I dont do it and then I do the same thing about 2:00p. LOL. I couldn't resist sorry. I hate cleaning and find lately I'm doing alot less of it, but having a schedule to commit to. The answer is a resounding no.

unfortunately since I have been sick I clean the house whenever I am physically able to do it, so it doesn't get done as much as it really should get done.

I grew up in a home that had a very rigid schedule for house cleaning. I vowed that I would not be that structured and rigid when I had my own home...and I haven't been! I clean a little each day and do things as I am able to get to them. Working full time out of the home makes it hard to be very rigid. For instance, I do a load of laundry whenever I find time to throw a few loads in, which is about twice a week. As for vacumming and dusting, whenever it needs it or whenever I can get to it! Bathrooms are cleaned once a week for sure...but not on a certain day. Thankfully, my children have always helped and my hubby is awesome about helping. Keeping the house clean is everyone's responsibility!

I used to have a house cleaning schedual then mu Son started kindergarten and all of our scheduals were controlled by that. I think I will start a new schedual because thinking of it my life was easier then to keep up on things.

I do have a schedule and we got away from following it. I need to get back on track and get everyone else back on track with it. Things just got crazy with all the dr. appt. and classes starting for me again.

Saturday has always been the big cleaning day for me (as well as grocery shopping, normally). Although I do just the basics through the week (dishes, garbage, etc...) The real cleaning (vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the bathroom) is reserved for Saturday.

Actually I don't... I do laundry after it has piled up or when the kids need certain clothes! lol! We deep clean once a week, usually on Saturdays, but if we are going away for the weekend, then we try to do it earlier in the week. I love coming home to a clean home when we've been away! It would probably make things easier if I set up a schedule, but I work full time, and we are so busy in the evenings that it would probably not be followed very well anyway...

I love cleaning the house and doing the cooking. However, I don't have a perfect schedule for everything I do. Basically I tidy up the house everyday and maintain it as best as possible everyday. For laundry, yes I have some kind of a schedule which I have to follow because if not there will be a heap of dirty laundry in the basket. I do laundry 4 or 5 times a week even though I only live with my husband. I clean the bathroom during my bath, and it makes me easier because the cleanliness is maintained. For vacuuming and sweeping, I do it only once a week because now I am working. Before this I vacuum and sweep and mop almost every day. After cleaning the house, I feel so relaxed and happy, furthermore when I switch on the automatic perfume spray the living room smells so fragrant and nice, such heavenly.

I really don't have a set schedule for cleaning house any more. I have to just make time for it whenever I can. I work all of the time and have to take time away from it to make sure it gets done. I try to make plans for everything also but I have to make sure I make money to help with the bills also. The only schedule I have is every chance I get to break away from the computer for a minute, I go and dust, mop or clean something.

I do have a schedule for household chores. Mondays are laundry day,Tuesday is clean the bathrooms,Wednesday is baking day,Thursday I wash all the sheets and whatever clothes are dirty. Friday,Saturday and Sunday I work from 10 to 10 each day so the household is neglected on those days. I also cook do dishes and sweep and vacuum every day that I am home. I leave the dusting to my daughter. I hate dusting.

Hello dear village anne. You have a very good habit of doing the cleaning job at home. I am so happy to know that you are so well-organixed. In my own house, my teen son does the mopping job from room to room every day before he goes to bed. He loves to do the job as he is rewarded for his floor-mopping job by his mother. One night after we had invited our relatives to have lunch and dinner at our home, I started to mop the floor, but he asked me to let him to. He is now in the habit of doing this job and finds pleasure of doing so. So I can do something else at home while his mother is responsible for the three-meal cooking for us all. Thanks very much for your discussion and happy posting, my dear anne.

Are you kidding? Schedule?! I just clean come what may no real matter what time of day or day of the week that it is. I wake up and I start cleaning something, just ask my husband. No, I really don't have any set plan or schedule with each passing day. I kind of organize and clean as I go along. Kind of have to. I have a four year old son and a husband!

Nope I just do whatever, whenever I feel like it. I have changed my way of thinking about stuff. Don't sweat the small stuff. I have a houseful of people and animals. I would go nuts trying to keep things clean and tidy. I don't live like a pig and do like things clean. But since I can't do everything, I try not to stress over having things spiffy. Its impossible in my household right now.

I myself still wonder whether I can strictly say I have any schedule for cleaning my house. But I know very well I must make sure that my house is totally clean and tidy the day before Chinese New Year Eve. I don’t wait until the last moment to finish the house cleaning. My auntie and I will clean the house part by part and room by room regularly at ordinary time. We will maintain the cleanliness by regular service. We will mop the floor and weekly. We wipe the glass window and door randomly whenever we find that they are dusty especially during sunny days.

lol..I am just like you..I schedule things. Every Sunday I do the laundry and do general house cleaning. Everyday I sweep and mop the floor. I changed bed covers monthly. I just grew tired as well because I work full time with 5 kids and a lazy husband who just sits around. Now I hired a maid to clean up everything. I have more time to myself and the kids and the PC.:)

I try to keep up a schedule. Vac every week, do laundry on either Sat or Sun (whichever day I can get into the laundry room), do dishes when there's a dishwasher full, and dust when I can. Before I wasn't much of a cleaner but now I'm almost like a housewife, I never wanted to be a house wife. lol

I don't have a schedule but I make my beds, sweep and dust, wash dishes, wash restrooms everyday and when it's time to clean the refrigerator and range I do it every two weeks. I mop every other day.

Honestly, I really don't keep a fixed schedule. I am a married woman with one daughter who's about two years old. When she's with me and my husband, I really don't have much time to clean the house as in general cleaning. I only do some wiping and cleaning here and there when she's taking a nap. I also have an office job which takes most of my time since it requires me to be present in the workplace from Mondays to Fridays (8am until 6pm); exclusive of overtimes which I may or may not undertake. So in short, my free time is only during weekends. I usually do the washing of clothes during Saturdays and ironing on Sundays. I do general cleaning whenever my daughter is with her grandparents in the province or even sometimes, on the basis of my mood for the weekend.
