Do you buy funds?

I have bought funds last year. However, by the end of last year the stock market has dropping. So my profit becomes less and less. Now I have just earned a little bit of it. I am afraid there will be a decrease again later. So if the stock market will be better for some time, then I will sell my funds and get the cash back. I don't care what it will be in the future.

Hello dear youless. I do not buy funds, but I encouraged my wife to buy stocks last May before the printing tax went badly down to the lowest in history. I do not show much interest to stock, as I do not have enough time to watch the rise and fall of the stock market all day. Some of my good friends are buying and selling stocks, but they lost their money in 2007 while my wife earned a little bit more than she had invested in the line of stock. I hope that my wife will be as lucky as she wishes. The secret of my wife's being able to earn some from the stock business is her insisting on waiting for the share of stock she has bought to rise. I admire my wife for her being patient without selling it when it is getting lower than the price she has bought. So based on my wife's experience, I told my friends to be patient if they want to be successful in their business. By the way, getting funds in the 2006 was a very business as most of the funds-getting clients got their profit more than double than they had invested. So it was out of this very reason that I encouraged my wife to do stock business and now she loves it and even my teen son is showing great interest in stocks. Interesting, huh? Thanks very much for your funds / stock discussion, my dear youless.

You are a nice husband as you trust your wife:) Having the support is so important. I think you are very busy at work everyday, so it's wise for you to let your wife to handle the investment:)

The only real funds I have are shares, and those were free shares, given away to me by my old company I used to work for! I have never bought shares, it's just a personal thing I just don't like gambling on the stock market, if you do right you can earn a fortune, because the rewards are higher than if you invest in a bank etc, but you can also lose a fortune too, I know you have to speculate to accumulate. Nevertheless I wish you lots of luck with your funds and I hope the stock market has a nice increase for you!

It seems so nice to have free shares. Perhaps one day these shares will be a good fortune. After all, you get it free:)
