"Network Shaping" Torrents/P2P

I am personally disgusted by what companies like Comcast, AT&T, Qwest etc. are doing by slowing down peoples internet connections simply because they are using torrents or a P2P application. Does anybody actually think it is a good thing that companies are restricting the internet in the manner? It is my belief that practices like this need to be outlawed worldwide putting restrictions on then internet like this are simply unacceptable and it is a very slippery slope. Whats next saying that VoIP is less important than a person watching a video on YouTube? www.savetheinternet.com

I think comcast is slowing the internet because I download with nothing 1mb/s the best.

As a matter of fact they are and that is why a class action lawsuit was recently filed against them. Also, the congress is currently holding hearings on whether or not what they and other ISPs are doing is legal.

i totally agree. next thing you know they would block and censor certain information that they dont want us to hear. the internet is the last frontier of freedom of speech and i say we should defend it...
