Ok some people buy their pets from a pets store, the aspca, or a reputable breeder! Where do you get your pet from and what kind of pet was it? Take care everyone and have a nice day.

We got our cat Tia from the SSPCA(scottish society for prevention of cruelty to animals) She had been hand reared with her brother and sister after they were found in a black bin liner on the banks of a river less than 1 mile away from the SSPCA center! As she was only 6 weeks old we had to sign a contract saying that we would not leave her alone and that we would feed her special food etc! When I had to work and my other half was at work too I used to have to take her to my Grandparents house to be cat sat! lol xxxx

The best bit is my Grandad was a passionate gardener and hated cats! He used to growl and grumble about looking after the kitten but if we walked into the room unexpectedly they would be curled up together and so cute! lol xxx

We got both our cat and dog as strays.. The cat was about 1 1/2 years ago, she came to our home in Sept, we played with her for a while and then let her go. Then in Oct, (13th of all days and she is all black...lol) she came back, we played with her again and then let her go again..Then in Nov when she came back and we let her go except this time she stuck around and so we took her in. Then almost 2 months ago, my husband found this dog that was so dirty and skinny, that we knew she had to be a drop off.. It's too bad too, she is a white German Shepherd and only a puppy..After cleaning her up and feeding her, she is looking better. We waited and asked for a couple of weeks if anyone had lost her and no one claimed her, so we took her in..

I dont have a pet right now, but when we did get a dog, we got it from a pet store in a mall, well the dog anyways. When i got my first cat, that was from a petstore as well. The second cat i had was born from the first. The third cat and so forth and so on i've gotten from other people who's cats have had kittens ;) I wanna get another cat, but i'm going to wait till we haev more room, and my kids are old enough to understand that kitty is not a stuffed animal and you have to be nice to her. ;)

I have too many pets to list individually, but most of them have been abandoned, injured and / or abused and in need of a loving home when I took them in. I always consider a pet is for life, regardless of the type of pet. For example, I have over 30 pets and I only actually 'bought/purchased' about 3 of them! lol (Don't worry, I like on acreage!)

We got our husky from husky welfare. I would never buy a dog from a pet store as you just never know the background of where they came from. Before we got Kai, I always got my dogs from reputable breeders. I always research the breed and/or breeder before I make up my mind.

I would have used a rescue to get my dog. But I have kids and cats and I decided it was in the family's best interest and cat's best interest that we got a puppy from a reputable breeder that way the puppy would grow up with the cats and the kids and I have no concerns. LOL!!!

Both aour dogs we got from friends. Both mother wernt spayed and got nocked up by a stray. Star is a 1 year old female australian shepard mix and Hemi is a 8 month old female Puggle {pug beagle}. We also have three lizards. Two we got at a pet shop. Piston and Spark Plug are Bearded dragons. Piston is 2 and Spark Plug is 3 months. We just rescued an iguanna from a bad home. She is now living with us and being taken care of properly. Animals come and go in my house. The ones above are the ones that stay here permantly. I have had several rescues come through my home in the form of birds, ferrets, dogs, even small animals like hamsters and mice. I take what others cant and find them new loving caring homes.

Most of mine have been rescued from the streets with the exception of 2, Prissy my first cat and Ally my current pup. All were in need of homes though and that I was happy to provide.
