actually, all mobile phones use *#06# to get the imei. i believe its been set as an international standard. if you want to get the imei of your phone, you need to type *#06# while your phone is at the home screen.

Hi Thank you for sharing this with us all. I do have an original Nokia but I have replaced the original Nokia battery with an Angel one which stops the affect from radiation and makes phone safe. In UK there were a few dud batteries that caused housefires from overheating whenh left on charge so I changed battery immediately then. Ellie :D

hmm..nice move...recently many batteries exploded in India causing injuries to few user....but majority of people got their batteries replaced as told by NOKIA due to faulty manufacturing....this is what we call smart company...replaced all faulty ones for free all over the world

Hi there. Right after I read this discussion, I immediately tested my phone and my moms. I'm glad to know that our Nokia phones are manufactured in Finland since its serial numbers 7 and 8 all appeared to have the number 01 and 10. :) Thanks for sharing this valuable information. It matters to me knowing that I have the original phone which I paid for rather than knowing that I don't have the original one yet paid for the price of an original model. :) Thanks and take care
