I have been out of work for 5 months. I havent been able to find a job. There are alot of jobs out there on Monster, HotJobs, CareerBuilder and I have applied for jobs that I am quailified for. Is there anyone out there experiencing the same problems I am? Do you have any suggestions on what I should try? Websites?

I'm not currently looking but I was about 3 years ago. I had no luck with any of the online job sites. I looked for 11 months, got interviews but no job. Ended up going to a local staffing company and got a job with a company they sent me to. You might want to give a staffing company call and see what they have to offer.

I have thank you very much. I have gone to Kelly Services and The Recruiting Resource Group and nothing so far not even temp jobs. I have a meeting with Paige on Wed hopefully that will be more helpful.

this is a real issue especially in this economy! What are you qualified to do? The first thing I would do is to use my contacts in the area to keep and eye out for you and well as ask for leads that may open some doors for you. Go directly to places that hire people like you and ask if they are hiring, and if not, ask if you could leave a resume (make sure to follow up frequently though). In this age there is no such thing as a stable job. Have you ever considered working from home? Is there any thing you have an interest in that could be turned into a money making opportunity?

I am registered at the local temp agencies. I am more of an office person with admin skills. I have thought of working from home but havent found a place that I dont have to pay for.

What about temping? It's something and sometimes they will hire you permanently. I temped when I first graduated college years ago and I didn't like it because I didn't have benefits but I got to experience different places. I am going to start temping again soon because I like the flexibility. You can take off when you want to go find other jobs and at least you'd have something coming in.

Yes I have also signed up for temping. I am wondering if the job market is so tight since we are outsourcing so much to other countries.
