new pc and new internet connection, whats next?

yes my dear friends, finnally i got my personal internet connection in my home beside that i also have new pc, yiiipppiiiieee. i am really happy to have this one caused having personal connection of internet already my wish. i m really thankfull with my internet connection speed at now, although something getting slow (i use gprs/3G connection) at least i can stay in touch with all of you in here.
so what next that i should do with my pc since i would be online. any software that i should install in my pc?
please give me your advise

That's a great news. It is nice to have a new PC and an internet connection. After I reinstall the operating system, the software I will install are: Microsoft Office, Firefox, MSN, Foxit Reader, Photoshop, Frontpage, Memories on TV, Wang Wang, Emule and so on.

Well I am not an expert on computers but what I did when I had mine was put a good anti virus on it. It is better to put it early since it will be difficult to take the virus out when its in the system already when you install the antivirus. Probably you could also check on ways to optimized the function of your computer by such as limiting start up applications that tend to slow down your processor once more and more applications are installed. Just go to help sections of your operating system and follow the guide on how to optimize the performance like defragmenting, checking and clean disk and have a set of schedules doing this. With respect to applications, it is entirely up to you since there are different applications suitable to the needs of the user. I hope I'm making sense. Anyway, its nice to know you have a brand new set.

try to install an anti virus software.
then install software for image processing, audio/video.
you can try the ACDSEE, IrafanView for imaging solution. The Winamp, Quicktime Player for audio/video. Macromedia Flash needed for some website.

congratulations. It always feels gud to have a pc at home. U can install some antivirus software from download.com. U can also download yahoo messenger , msn , media player , winamp & Ms office. Have a great day :)

i went from 1.5 G to 6.0 and that is a great improvement but i could have gone to 10..but i did not want to spend the extra money..but the computer is realy more interesting the faster it runs..good luck

1st my suggestion you should install picasa software, with this software you can creat blog, editing picture and much more.
