Does Your Body Talk To You?

I'm not talking about the bodily noises that come out of your various orifices, I am talking about how intuned you are to your body, like do you only eat when your body is craving food by the rumble in your tummy? Does you body tell you that there is something wrong with it and how do you note the signs? Do you suddenly get an urge to eat something, like a craving, for example you fancy something sweet and your body is crying out for sugar Do you suddenly go off a food which means your body doesn't want any more of that substance. Do you listen to your body when it needs rest, healing or do you run it when it's out of gas? Do you get frustrated when you know there is something wrong with you but the doctor hasn't got a clue? Do you feel that you are a hypochondriac, your body does something unusual and you start worrying what it is and fear the worst? Now sit down, and tell Doctor Wolfie your bodily experiences funny or not!

Dear Dr. Wolfie, yes I tend to listen to the messages my body is telling me except lately I have this problem that even when my back is beinginning to ache and my eyes are straining I still ignore to answer discussions on myLot LOL, funnilly enough I am in fact going to get a new office chair tomorrow and have made an appointmet for my eyes to be tested. Think maybe I ought to wear glasses when on the computer. I do also eat when I am hungry not for the sake of it and drink when I am thirsty and usually rest when tired. Had a snooze earlier when getting my little boy off too sleep. Instinct usually tells you when something is not right and I am not one for going to the Doctor so if I do I want to feel listened to. In fact the last time I went was because I han't been feeling right and was unusally tired and it did turn out that I had anemia. Ellie :D

You seem to be very intuned with your body, very impressed. I have to wear glasses just for the computer too, for reading, tv, and driving I don't need them x

Hi Wolfie, Thanks for BR much appreciated. Had eyes tested they are fine so I think it is just eye strain from being on the computer too long, so I take longer breaks away from it now and also as I have one of my daughters now living back home we are having to share our online time so that in itself has been a remedy. LOL. Ellie :D

Healthy appetite is good, as long as you are not snacking on bad nibbles and nibbling good things then you will be ok, has there been a change in your activities? Not sure if it's the vits xxx

Funny, I was just thinking of this...sort of. I was thinking that I seem to want to eat all the time. I'm not hungry but I'm not satisfied either. I just had a blt for dinner and I still wanted to eat so I had a nectarine. I just know I will be eating something else before too long. I'm on a high fibre diet and trying to eat smaller meals but it's hard to do...my body is saying "gimme some of that rich chocolate icecream that we lurve so much". Yes, it tells me when it wants fish or liver...they are the main ones, it also tells me that it wants veges or eggs. But it also says it is pining for something greasy, wicked and dripping with badness, like KFC. I have a problem with my gut at the moment and my hair and nails are showing me things are not right but there are so many signs and so many things wrong...we're in a bit of a mess.

The body is a miraculous thing wolfie. You know that. It can (in most cases) heal itself when we learn to listen to it and react on what it's telling us. The body can tell you there is something not quite right and if you use a little bit of wisdom, we can usually help fix the problem. I think the majority of people have been conditioned to become semi-hypochondriacs by watching or listening to the media tell them they need so much medication, when in fact, if you take care of your body, your body will take care of you. (That's just my opinion).

I try to listen to what my body is telling me, but I don't always do what it says. When I have a craving for something sweet I son't always listen to it, I just try to ignore it. When I am tired I try to stop and lay down, but it is not always possible to do. I am very frustrated right now and the past 6 years because my body is telling me there is somethng wrong with it and the doctors can't find what is wrong with me. I have attacks with my eardrums and I get very dizzy, my world spins on me, and I have been to a specialist and he can't find anything. I am going to see a new specialist next month and since my problem has gotton a lot worse, hopefully he can see what's wrong with me and fix it.

I think I am one of those people who is so in tune with ones body. Though there are times that I just disregard what its telling me and doesn't take them seriously, but I know that its telling me something. I do take good care of it as much as possible and make sure that its well rested, well fueled and exercised. I believe that one has got to take good care of ones body if one wants to live longer.

My body does talk to me Wolfie Sweety and the worst habit I used to have was ignoring it - that is why I am on the position I am now - not only would I not listen to my own doctor and stop working but my own body was screaming at me that it needed I rest and I told it to behave and shut up! Now it is getting its revenge! lol I guess I would tell everyone out there to listen to what their body is saying to them and react to it! xxx

Hi Darling..Yes my body talks to me..I do not always listen because sometimes my body says ..give me a hot fudge sundae...But I realize that to transulate that it really wants a healthy yummy cafe latte shake..and when I'm finished with the shake I am satisfied so I am still teaching my body a trick or two! xoxoxoxoxo

My body keeps telling me that the parts are put together wrong! Have a really young spirit in an antique body. Prognosis?

Yes. It tells me that I need to lose weight, act my age, exercise more, stop holding my stomach in - the girls aren't fooled and go to the dentist more often. Also it isn't smart to fart in bed and those droopy things under your eye are bags and won't disappear when you shave. My body is a temple. Unfortunately the priest was driven out years ago by the congregations non attendance and the building is now an old wreck that should be pulled down and given to Prince Charles' architects 'cos I do not want to be a modern monstrosity. I feel better for that. Thank you.

Yes, wolfie, my body does talk to me, although I don't always like what it has to say, lol. I have a sweet tooth that is very hard to keep under control, and that sometimes lands me in trouble with my body. I do pay attention most of the time, however, I occasionally will run it when it's out of gas. I have fallen asleep at my computer a few times, also while reading. I hate to give in to the urge to sleep most of all. There are so many things I enjoy doing that I don't want to stop and take a rest. My daughter is constantly after me for this reason.
