A couple weeks ago, I installed the WordPress script and started a blog. Besides Yuwie, I haven't blogged anywhere else before. With my lack of imagination and there already being so many blogs about making money online, I just went with the title "Another Make Money Online Blog". I chose that title for SEO purposes. I also decided to go with hosting the blog myself because I like having complete control over what I can do with it and WordPress offered that. Now I'm curious. Do you blog? And do you host your own blog or use one of the free blogging sites? Cheers, Ed

I currently have 2 hosted blogs. Like you said, it gives you complete control of everything. There are loads of money making blogs already and personally, I don't find them interesting, no offense meant. I would rather read about tips and tricks on how to improve blogging or SEO-related campaigns. Good luck with blogging!

As your title suggests than thats all you will ever be, a make money online blog. I think you should change it to something more catchy that still leaves that keyphrase in it. "The Last Make Money Online Blog You Will Read?" lol. I have several websites they most all are hosted with my own domain. My most popular is http://blogaboutyourblog.com Hope you stop by and visit us, we have plenty of make money online articles.

I have blogs that are hosted by Blogger for free. I have thought of having my own domain and host for few times along the way. But, did not proceed with that. The main problem is that my interest with blogging goes up and down. I update my blogs regularly. But, recently I am not doing the regular updates. A bit of lost interest. About your question on "pingback": It is something like a notice to let you know that someone has written another post with a link to your post. I will explain it in a bit more detail below: For example, you wrote a post discussing about your experience on myLot. I read your post and like the contents. Now, I open my blog and write a post about what you have discussed and direct my readers to your blog by providing a link to your post. Once I publish my post, your blog will notice this and provide a link to my post under the pingback list. It is beneficial to both bloggers. Hope that is clear. I blog with the free blogger (my computer tech links in my mylot profile), but lately I have been promoting in directories - mybloglog, blogcatalog, blogengae, and the new entrecard program - which brings visitors...

If you want to make money on with a blog, self hosting is the only way to go. You should post your links here when ever you get a chance, it lets the readers here know the kind of person they are getting answers from and it also is a good way to draw traffic on specific topics. I got really tired of not being able to cut and past an answer here so I created some specific posts relevant to both my blog and frequent posts here. Now I can give people a short answer then refer them to the post for long and detailed analysis. http://www.bradstinyworld.com technology and current event blog http://www.bradsotherblog.com pop culture and occasional rant blog Another good thing you can do with wordpress is make it cross post to LiveJournal and some other blogs like MySpace. I haven't got the MS plugin to work yet, but Livejournal crossposter helps draw a lot of traffic to my site.
