How long does it take you to get ready to go out to do errands?

Now I'm not talking about going out for the evening or for fun but to go shopping or paying bills and doing errands in the day. Today I have to go to Shaws and do a couple of other things before my visit to the cemetary. I woke up at 7:45 and want to be out of my apartment by 10:00 and it's 8:45 already and I'm not even dressed yet! I rolled out of bed, made my coffee and took a quick shower. The next thing I know I'm sitting at my pc checking email and end up here on mylot. I don't wear makeup...ever so all I need to do now is get dressed which to me is throw on a pair of jeans, shirt, socks and sneakers and I'm out of here. How long does it take you to get ready to get out? Do you put make up on just to do errands? Do you have to start early to get out?

When I am just going to the store I don't bother getting all made up or dressing nice. I just wear a pair of sweats and runners. When I need the truck during the day to run errands, I have to take my husband to work in the morning so I can have it. I take him to work at 5:30am so I don't bother to even get dressed or washed up. I just go in my PJ's and when I get home I usually go back to bed for another couple hours. I usually end up on the computer before I go run my errands, too. I always end up in mylot after checking a couple other things, like my paypal, and end up reading all my responses and doing some comments if possible, before I start to post anything. Then I will go have my shower, after about an hour, and then if I have errands to do I go do them. When I come back I always check into mylot again and see if I have any more responses and comments, before I start posting again. I also don't wear any make-up so it is pretty easy for me to get ready, and doesn't take me very long to get ready.

It takes me about a half hour even if I take a shower. Now when I had long hair, geeze, it would take me an hour because I had to dry it with a blow dryer which took forever. If I didn't dry my hair, I'd have stringy and unkept looking hair. Now that it's short and sassy, it's much easier to care for. I don't wear much makeup if any at all anymore so I'm ready much quicker than ever before.

It depends on what time they asked me to run such errands.. If I am asked to do those errands early in the morning especially if I just woke up then they have to be patient with me because I still have a lot of things to do before going out. If I am asked to do those errands but I have to prioritize other things, then they have to wait for a while. But if I am asked to do those errands when I am ready to go out and I don't have other things to do, then I get to start working on them immediately. Of course, I don't need to put on make up...lol!

From bed to the front door, about half an hour. That takes care of taking pills, breakfast, a ten minute shower , get dressed and out.

Uhmm... It usually takes me an hour to get ready to face the day. But if I'm only going to run an errand, it'll just take me 5 - 10 minutes. All I do is wash my face, brush my teeth, get dressed and then run! Haha..

It takes me about 15 minutes. I don't eat breakfast and I know what I am going to wear. That is the hard part. I get up, wash up, take my allergy pill , get dressed and off i go.

depends on what i have on...if i have sweats on, i will go throw on some jeans and a nicer shirt and it also depends on what season it is here (canada) obviously winter requires more clothing!! but generally only a few mintues :-)

It really depends on where I am going and how far away it is. If it's just up the road then it doesn't take me long at all. I'm up, showered, changed into jeans or something comfortable and out the door (oh i need to have that coffee first though). If I am going downtown then I need to allow time for the bus/metro, so I might just get up a little earlier and take my time to get ready. I avoid all internet altogether though because I know I will miss my bus if I jumped online. I don't wear makeup, only lip gloss so I apply that as I'm going out the door LOL

If I have already taken a shower then it will only take me about 5 minutes to get myself ready to go, but then I have to get my daughter ready to go and if my son is home I have to spend at least 5 minutes nagging him to get ready. I would say it takes me about 20-30 minutes to get myself and both kids ready to go out.

I don't wear makeup either. I live in Florida so, most of the time I don't even put on my cowboy boots. I just throw on some shorts, a tank, my flip flops and throw my hair up in a pony tail. It only takes me about 10 minutes to get ready to go. I know that is going to change a lot when we start fostering babies. LOL

Today i got up, got my daughter ready for school(pre) then put her on the bus. I was extremely tired. I went back to bed.Haven't done that in months. About 20 minutes later my best friend calls. Says I am coming to pick you up. We rarely go out during the week. She has 6 daughters I have 1 and 2 part time jobs. No time. So I rolled out, got ready in about 15 minutes.

well for me if i can get everything done like i want to i can get out of the house in 30 minutes or maybe even 10 , however like most of the times , im always sidetracked with other things , like checking the emai. , you ever just wanna check the email and you say to yourself " Ok ima about to get off right now and do something else" and an important email pops up and you just have to see what it is ? that happens to me like all the time and then if i get to the errands its always something in the way like traffic or a long line at the store or the check out person doesnt know what they're doing ...

It never takes me long to get ready to go anywhere, even when I was working outside the home. I do wear a bit of makeup when doing more than the very quick errands, but even with that I don't spend hours in front of the mirror with makeup and hair. If it got to that point, I'd probably chop all my hair off and be done with it! If need be, I can get up, showered, dressed, makeup, etc and be out the door in 30 min. I don't like to just get up and run, though, or its a bad start to the day. I like to relax a bit and have a bit of 'me' time.

If all I am doing is running a few errands, I usually just take a quick shower and head out the door. I don't bother with checking email and what not until I get all of the errands out of the way.

When I all I have to do is pay bills or shop for my groceries, I don't really need a lot of time to prepare. After I have taken a bath, all I need is around 15 minutes to get ready. I'm usually the shirt and jeans girl. I wear a pair of sandals most of the time. I get ready pretty fast because I just comb my hair and apply sunscreen and moisturizer on my face, I do not wear make up, so that also saves me time.
