Who are left handed?

I'm left handed. As a kid I learned a lot of things about left handed people. Before, when you are left handed they find you abnormal and try to correct you, as if you were some mistake. I also heard that left handed people were seen as witches. Some say that when your left handed and you get pimples, you're no longer a virgin. Cruel huh? But in the Modern days, lefty's are known to be one of the smartest and artistic people. Plus manufacturers make notebooks and chairs especially for left handed people. It's no longer considered as an abnormality, because research has shown that lefties who are trained to use their right hand disrupts the normal function of their brain this is because lefties use their right brain (artistic side), right handed people use their left brain (more objective). So once you force something out of what's in nature, you disturb the natural flow of things.

I'm not left handed but my oldest daughter is and so is my sister. My daughter is very smart and artistic for 5 years old. She loves to draw pictures. She was drawing pictures of things when other kids were still just scribbling.

That;s ho I was when I was five. i suggest you encourage her to develop that skill, I didn't get to develop mine, so I kind of have regrets on that one. It would be really rewarding if she enhances her hand tactics.

I have known two left handers. One is my dad and the other is my DH. Dad is an amphidextrous though. But DH is a perfect left handers. My dad is really highly artistic and objective. But I am yet to see the artistic side of DH.

Sometimes I think I'm amphidextrous... hehehehe... cause there are things that my right hand can do that my left hand can't.

Thanks a lot for the information. I have come to know many things about left handers. The reason for my happiness is my 2year old daughter is a left handed and she is also very intelligent.

No problem. i'm proud to be a left hander. Anyways, my advice, just encourage and support her artistic thirst... it will be very rewarding.

I am left-handed. I use my left hand for almost everything. I can't do much with my right hand except for typing, playing the piano and holding stuff. My grandpa was left-handed and they "corrected" him. I'm glad I was born when I was, and didn't have to go through all of that.

Yes its true, people then were so into tradition and norms, that whenever they see something different they treat it as if its something evil or its an abnormality. But then, its a good thing scientists are so smart, they discovered that forcing a child to use her non dominant hand affects the child's mental function. Well not in a bad psycho growing up to be stupid way, its like the brain in nature functions like this, but the you changed it, so now its confused. Something like that.
