How much is gas in your neighborhood...I about cried when I had to pay 3.18 for a gallon of regular unleaded gas. That is rediculous.

Using the following calculations for UK prices 1 litre = 0.2642 US Gallons or 0.22 UK Gallons 1 litre of unleaded in UK = £1.01 £1.01 = $2 $2 * (1/0.2642) = $7.57 per gallon of unleaded

$3.18 is peanuts sweets - just be thankful that you don't live in the UK. In my area the average price for a gallon of petrol is about $9.50. That depends on the rate of exchange at the time but that is the best I can figure it! I know as it is all relative as the price jump there is huge but it really bites at us here in the UK when we hear people complain about prices that are 1/3 of what we pay! xxx

No sweety - it is all about the size of engine etc and as long as those are comparable so is the fuel consumption!

I wonder if cars in the UK get better mileage than the cars here in the states?

Can tell we live in about the same neck of the woods. I know I paid $3.05 at Kroger for regular gas yesterday. I use to put $5 in at a time, now I have to put 5 gallons in at a time!

I pay about £1.10 per litre of diesel here in the UK. I don't know how that compares, but it is ridiculously high at moment here. My father is very ill and it cost me £60 in fuel to go visit, but it is even more expensive to go by public transport. Ellie :D

I last paid $3.19 a gallon for regular unleaded gas. I hear you it is rediculas! I want to take a trip out to Branson this May, Im in PA/NY, and gas is just gonna kill me money wise. I was reading the other comments about this and the one said they paid $9 a gallon, that is nuts! I could never afford that!

Petrol prices keep rising every now and then. At present it is around Rs.53/- INR. I dollar is equivalent to Rs.40/- Say approximately $1 and 25 cents per litre.

I know! The cheapest right now where I live is $3.07 a gallon, which is probably pretty good for the country overall. I have half a tank left so I'm hoping it goes below three dollars before I have to fill up again.

We are in southwest Ohio, gas runs from around $2.82 to $3.19 a gallon. Seems as soon as the weekend comes or a holiday or the first of the month when everyone gets paid it goes up. I have a pickup and it would take around $60-65 to fill it up, so just put in what I need around $30. as we live on a fixed income and can't afford to many fill ups.

Prices here vary from (no name brands are sometiems $1.99, I've seen cheapest in the last week $1.98). But all the brand name gas stations or even no-name that are on busy streets, are closer to $3.10, and highway even more. We try to stick with the no-name (hoping they are safe and reliable), or the lowest name brand, even if we drive an extra mile or so!
