I think I am a server, though I can not support myself now. My mother describes me as a miser, for I always think over and over before go out to buy a thing. In many cases, I waited for a long time until it is on sale. When I go shopping with my family, I am the controller of the money. Because I can help make my family members all happy with the least expend. Several years late, I will be the bread-earner of my family. At that time, I think I can surely be a great server.

I actually meant to say saver, i'm not sure how I typed it up so long! Sounds like you definitely know how to handle money!

I know what you mean by waiting until something is on sale or decrease in price before buying it. I have been doing the same thing, or I buy the off-brand to save about half of what the name brand costs. A memory card for the PS2 is an example of something I bought recently. My brother got a 2 pack of official memory cards (8 MB each) that was like $40 each pack. Sunday, I bought an off brand memory card of my own that was 16 MB (two in one, as in 16 MB in one memory card) for $14. That is the same amount of memory for a whole lot cheaper.

I used to be a spender. I've bought thousands of dollars worth of books, dvds, and videogames. Now I'm trying to save as much as I can.

Thousands? You or your parents must be loaded! Or is this over an insanely long period of time?

Oh? Well that's reasonable. My friend does the same thing but now he's making a bit more so he can.. kind of buy things he doesn't really need as much, =P

Over more than 7 years. I made $7.40 an hour with about 35 hours a week. It was pretty foolish of me to spend so much on junk I didn't need.

i think i am a saver,im not interested something prevail in modern times.but i dont why i always feel lack of money in the end of month.that's like a riddle to me,maybe i should make a notebook to write down my comsume details everyday.

A notebook to keep track of your spendings on a daily, weekly, or even monthly scale is a very good idea to do. When you actually look at the notebook & see it all written down and it's costs, it makes you more willing to save. "I paid this much for paper towels in a month?! Maybe I should be more conservative when it comes to using them!" stuff like that. Yes I know, I used paper towels as an example in another response earlier, =P

I am both a spender and a saver because whatever I save, I do spend it..sometimes I do make unwise spending...

I am both a spender and a saver because i do save for future use. But sometimes it happens that I spend out of my budget also.

Well you're ahead of most! A lot of people are really careless about their money & even with the economy getting worse people are still spending way too much!

I consider myself as a spender. I spend a lot of money. its not that i always spend that way. But now I am seeing in family, when there is anything that money is needed its by default myself who spend money for the need.

I mainly only spend money when I have to these days because we have already accumulated alot of things we always wanted in life. It is time to pay off everything and start saving now because the ecom=nomy is so bad now and the price of everything is so high. My husband also wants to retire in 11 years.

Sounds like a garage sale is in order! Or do you still use a lot of the stuff that you've "always wanted", =P and yeah, the economy keeps getting worse and worse... *sigh*

Now I think I am more of a saver than a spender. I guess that's because I spent too much when I was younger and I sort of got tired of it *laughs*. I still buy things once in awhile but I would make sure I have money after I save before I spend on anything.

Yeahh, not a very good idea to get something you don't really need if you don't really have the money to spend!

Well, once when my mom gave me money for some groceries (I think she wanted bread and sodas), I went all over town with my grandma and I spent the money on myself. When I had a job for a week, my uncle asked me to buy him a drink and I did, but I didn't spend any more of that money, even on a 99 cent drink for myself. So, when it's someone else's money, I spend it. When it's money I earned on my own, I save it lmao!

I am a spender! i wish I was a saver but its too hard to be a saver. I used to save all of my money and then I decided its best for me to spend it and enjoy it. I am a cheapie though. I am always looking for a bargain. I am a cheap spender lol...

Well if you save it and invest it properly, you'll have much more to spend and you'll enjoy yourself so much more later on down the road, =D.. at least, that's how I like to look at it! =O You can still enjoy yourself though and save at the same time! Just be more cautious when buying products. Such as for example. Let's say you buy paper towels, instead of buying paper towels stop at mcdonalds and order a cheeseburger or two and ask for extra napkins, or just run in and grab some and leave. It's better you order though, lol =P You would be suprised how much you can save from doing little stuff like that. =)

saving and spending both depending onb eachother :D i feels so good when you have your grandparents at your place :D they rarelt ask you to do work and when they do they reward you handsomely i would consider myself to be a spender :P and after a period of time , to continue my habit to spend i HAVE to save :( so it automatically comes to my mind that if i have to spend i have to save now i feel that it is better to continue to save and spend when required :D

Well, I think I'm a reasonable spender, and a saver too. I only spend on things that we really need. I try to do away with those that we can do without. Food is a necessary thing to spend on. I make sure there is always something to eat, but not too much to overeat. I am frugal and practical. I like to be prepared for the "rainy days" that may come.
