The Peeping Tom

I phoned my mom yesterday and she was telling me about the town's peeping tom. He comes around her house in the evening when it's usally just starts getting dark outside.
My cat who my brother has claimed resides there at her residence, will sit by the window whenever this peeping tom shows up and start growling.
I was quite concerned about this peeping tom going to my mom's window and peeking in at her, until I found out who the peeper was.
It ended up being a black cat that belonged to my mom's neighbors!
Yes it's true... this black cat would peep in my mom's windows and it was so funny when she told me that, so we call him "The peeping Tom"

Brilliant! Is your brother's cat a female? I don't think they exactly growl... it sounds more like it might have been purring! Perhaps the cats were together in a family home before, and the black one misses your brother's cat.
Whatever, a black cat is lucky, as long as it doesn't cross your path, so it might be a good omen to have a Peeping Tom. lol.

Well actually the cat was mine but my brother got quite attached to him, and the cat is male. He was growling because I'm guessing he was protecting his territory. Maybe it was a good omen why it came to my mom's?
It's a pretty funny story though and thanks for commenting!

Too cute. Thanks for sharing that story. I'm surprised a cat would come all the way up to the window like that, but one never really knows what a cat might do.
They do things when THEY want to, IF they want to.

Yes you're completely right about that, they do unpredictable things forsure!
It is a very funny story that my mom was telling me about that I would share with everyone here. Just something I thought was worth writing about lol.

That is a funny story. Years ago I lived in an apartment building that was a Victorian-style house with the big long windows that were low to the ground. My cat used to love to lounge in the windows there especially in warm weather where he could lie inside the sill against the screen. A neighbor cat started visiting nightly and they talked about whatever kitties talk about. The bad thing -- it was next to my bed and I missed some sleep. I didn't really mind though because it was so cute.

Hi Annie,
Awwwwwe that is cute, and for me there's something about cats/kittens... anytime they are mischeivious, it's so cute but bad, and I just have to laugh.
The cat at my mom's place has a buddy friend cat from our other neighbors and comes and sits by the screen sliding door when the weather is nicer, and they chat or something.. I'm not sure what they say but it's funny because, sometimes when our cat goes out with his buddy, they will have a fight and my cat will come back all stratched up like they had an arguement or something. Yes this is bad, but I've also seen the way they team up with each other when another cat comes to their territories.
