Prince Harry is to be withdrawn from Afghanistan after news of his secret deployment leaked out.The 23 year old royal, who has spent the last 10 weeks serving in Helmand Province, is to be flown back to the UK amid concerns for his safety. The Prince's withdrawal is the second major blow to his army career. Last year, a planned tour to Iraq had to be cancelled at the last minute because of security risk. There had been fears that the prince, who is third in line to the throne, could become a target for the Taleban.PrimeMinister Gordon Brown paid tribute to the prince and said Britain owned him a "debt of gratitude" for his service in Afghanistan but he added that it was correct to bring Harry back to the UK. Based on the above obvious reasons do you justify the withdrawal of Prince Harry from Afghanistan??????

I kind of figured that something like this woudl happen because he is royalty and he was in afgan and it was let out just where he was and that would have been a really easy target for people to hit and really do some damage to england...because he is a prince and the people in england love him...so i think that it is best that he gets brought out of there...because that would have not only put him in danger but the rest of his soldiers...

I think that the Royal Family wanted to keep it a secret that Prince Harry was serving in Afghanistan. They tried to make sure that the media didn't find out he was over there fighting with the other soldiers from more ordinary backgrounds. He is meant to have been a brave fighter but in war people easily get killed. I am surprised that the Queen didn't think it too risky for him to be out there given that he could have been a target for the enemy. He is part of the Royal Family and Iraq was hardly a safe place for him to be. I think war is sad and that it must be annoying for Prince Harry to miss out on staying there. But given the danger I fel he is lucky to be coming back home safely.
