a matter of choice, agencies pay less than what you would get on your own, but you don't have to find the work yourself, and they may be a bit safer.

I never had to get an agency before..as i was in the Philippines and worked in the hospitals..so doctors gave me my first job..and it went from there to their friends an family. Then I went to Japan and worked six years as a nanny and my last job was in Washington Dc..but I was just checking online and filling out the various paperwork..its is getting phone calls already but I will check each source for actual jobs and background checks.thanks

I would check license agency first. They are responsible to do background and references check. If you deal directly to the person, you never know who do you deal with.

I was doing this online and got some phone calls already asking me fill out many pages of paperwork..security is high and so is if you are fluent in English and are you a citizen of the US...also work experience and past employers make a big part of the decesion in hiright a caring, honest, resposible and dependable nanny.

well I would check both out but an agency have probably screened the nannys and have done all the work for you. But then I never had a use for one.

I have never tried to apply for a job like this but i would think that it would be better to go to an agency or something like that because alot of people call into agency's and ask for people that they would reccomend or something like that and the agency would have your information down on file and could just give it to the people...less work for you

yes, it would be less of a burden. They would help with my resume and find a suitable employer and set the terms before i would start working...all in writing and set the fair pay and whatever extra duties to preform. thank you
