Do Friends Really Age?

Just today I was thinking about all the friends I had when I was younger. You know the ones I'm talking about, the type where you are inseperable. The ones where you freaked out with when if you decide on differnt schools, the ones you do everything with. So, why is it that, for one reason or another, I look back and see that most of these friends I don't even talk to anymore? Sometimes things in life get in the way of keeping in touch. But I've found that as I've aged, some of my friends can't stand me anymore, and sometimes this is both ways. After realizing this silly fact, I wonder if that is what it is, silly. It seems impossible to me that such inseperable friends now don't even talk with eachother. So, what does everyone think about this? I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one out there that this has happened to, and I want to know if other people just let things go how they go, or try to keep in touch with everyone.

I have had many friends who grew up with me but as we aged we got interested in different things and now I'm in Ukraine studying Medicine and he's in India doing Catering...When i have vacation he is never around and when he has vacation I'm still stuck here in Ukraine...There was a time when i passed him by in a Cyber cafe and completely ignored him...This was after a year of not seeing him...I just realized what I had done and i rushed back to him and said "Dude,I'm so sorry..How you been man?"He said he was fine and i did not have to worry about it but I knew what was going through his head.In the end he has his own friends now and i have my own...I really hope that maybe once I'm done with studying I will really try to get in touch with him and try to get an ounce of the old days.

I don't really think that true friends will ever age...I think that they will always stay the same in your mind because..you first meet them and then you never really forget..because you spend so many years with them while you are young and then you just don't really realize that you and your friends get older every year..and i know from personal experience
