Which is better, Halo 3 or Call of Duty 4?

I've heard both games are quite amazing (although COD4's single player is a bit short), but in your opinion, which one is the best?

I preferred Halo 3, it was better than Halo 2 though also a bit repetitive. Really over both I choose Bioshock - awesome game. I have a PS3 so I was also playing Resistance: Fall Of Man instead of either of those mentioned int he title.

Well I love playing games that give me a sense of reality. saying this for me Call of Duty 4 is a better game, its real and you get kill with one shot,this fact when playing makes you be more careful just like you would if you was really in a war. Besides this the blood its real as well in difference with Halo where there is no blood and you are a robots.

they are both great games i find it very hard to chose which is better cod4 has great online gameplay but on campagin you can play on your own halo3 also has vehicles which make it really fun

Quite frankly it all depends on what kind of gamer you are, I think that Cod4 is a bit easier to kill people but hard to be good at killing people. If i had to choose between both id pick Cod4 since it has much more char customization, you dont get bored with it as fast.

Id have to say COD4 because it actually involves skill. Now, im not against halo but Halo is just this, shoot, run, beatdown, repeat. There are vehicles and stuff in halo but the gameplay is always basicly the same. Oh, and halo is full of a bunch nerd A-holes who say stuff like "I owned you noobs lololololol"
Overall COD4 is never the same and it involves skill and teamwork.

Halo 3 hands down, people who say halo 3 sucks can't handle the shoot em up gameplay... they like the slow more realistic shooting... which there is nothing wrong with, I like that kind of gameplay too. But Halo 3 is a way better multiplayer game and as far as I know it's got a bigger online player base. Halo 3 makes for more multiplayer fun, more videos, more screenshots and more junk talking... it's just more fun, that's why I like it.

Call of Duty 4, by far, beats Halo 3 in terms of gameplay that I'd come back to.
Halo 3 seemed to be too much of, "WHO SHOOT FIRST?!" when it comes to winning. The storyline of CoD4 also seemed much more involving than that of Halo 3, so... :)
