what happened to my rating?

i'm puzzled with my rating these days, as it varied up and down. three days ago, i reached the rating of 8 after a long and descriptive resonse.
while the next day,my rating dropped to 7 all of a sudden. in order to upgrade,i post hard and finally returned to rating 8. yesterday,i made no response only started two discussions and commentted on response.i was strange to find my rating dropped 7 again.
what happened to it? is anyone here fell across such strange things liske me?

I don't think there is a time limit on when someone can rate you.
Even if you didn't post anything new, someone could have seen one of your earlier posts and rated it lower, if they haven't rated that one before.

frankly speaking, i'm rather a little curious not nervous about my ranking on mylot. i think it went up and down mainly due to systemic reason.

I have experienced the same thing. I had a rating of 8 and then one day, it was 7. It has stayed at 7 for awhile now. I think it's based on how someone rates your posts/reponses. I wonder if I made someone mad along the way? LOL. I don't really let it concern me though. I mean I am one of those people who refuses to water down what I say just to make others happy..

i'm glad to learn that someone has experienced the same thing as me. don't have a mistake, i didn't mean to make fun of you. it's just like having found a bosom friend,who resonates me. you feel what i feel and make me away from alone.LOL.
i think you can understand what i said.
