What is it about kids and broccoli?

Most kids love it or at least don't mind eating it? Why do you think that is? How do you fix broccoli so your kid eats it? All I have to do is steam it, set it in front of my child. She its it. Not even the"veggie face" I get the "veggie face " from her with green beans.

Both of my kids love broccoli. No cheese is required here for them to eat it. The other night my daughter seemed to not be able to get enough of it when I made it with dinner. She gets hers just steamed with nothing on it. My son however requests some of his no calorie butter spray and a dash of salt.

steamed broccoli is the best! I have one child who would prefer to eat only the stems of broccoli and another child who would prefer eating only the tops - so they used to make exchanges.... all the children love raw broccoli though - in either a broco slaw salad or dipped in ranch dressing. they also like it steamed and smothered in cheese sauce or served on a bake potato

I loved brocalli ever since I was a kid and my dauther is the same way. I don't even have to try to dress it up with cheese or hide it in casserole to get her to eat it. She loves it just steamed with butter and a little salt and pepper. But I think the house favorite here is definately steamed broccoli with a nice smooth cheese sauce.

I love Broccoli. I love it best in Cheddar Broccoli soup. I also like it raw with ranch dip or steamed with garlic and lemon.

LOL, my kids call it "trees", and all of them will eat it. I steam it. 2 of the kids must have cheese on it, but the others just like it plain. Also, I found that only fresh broccoli works for them, if I try frozen, they don't like it.

Most kids will eat what they are use to. So if when they were really small you fed them their veggies (and while you were pregnant you ate yours) they have a taste for it already and will not fight you on eating them. My son will eat almost all veggies, no questions asked. He doesn't really like radishes, not quite sure why considering he will eat all the other veggies most kids protest - broccoli, brussel sprouts, eggplant, etc.
