I do, because I find it's great to save money and then when you have an emergancy it comes in handy. Do you see the sense in it?

I have a piggy bank , but I dont just save pennies ... I save all lose change and all dollar bills. That really comes in handy :) You cant imagine how much you can save just by saving dollar bills

I'm going to have to start doing that too. I use to do well when I was a bartender. I never changed in any of my tips so the change piled up fast.

I collect all the lose change I get into different containers.. in that I sort out the pennies, the dimes, the nickels and the quarters.. I do it for a couple of reasons.... Its easier to figure out how much one has :) I also collect coins, so when I have some free time, I go through the different jars looking through the coins for specific coins of interest. The rest, I use as change.. :)

We do. When we go on vacation, the kids take it in to get it counted. They split up the amount between them and that is their spending money. Last year they each got a little over $50 (three kids).

change - scattered change
My change is all over the place. I should probaly start keeping it in one spot though.

My kids do....large ceramic ones that have no stopper to take out the coins. I don't think either have a desire to break theirs. We also have a jar we fill with pennies and a dish that is always full of coins...not to mention all the coins in the car...

Yep, my daughter has a huge piggy bank with her name on it that I put my unwanted loose change into. When I get to about $100 I'm going to open a savings account for her.

We have a big decorative pail in our guest room where we throw our change. We've always done this, and it's amazing how fast it adds up.
