Once you start gaining, there's no stopping. I've been trying so hard to lose weight for about 3 years now. I lose weight for 1 or 2 months, then I gain back the weight faster than I lost it. What makes it so damn hard?

It's really not that hard, if you even try to lose those weight. I suggest enrolling in a gym cause that's what I am doing right now, and on top of that watch your weight and the food you ate always. I make it a habit to look at the scale every evening. Also, from my trainer... I've been taught to lessen your food intake specially carbs in the evening because those unused energy would turn to fats.

Steering clear from carbs is a real challenge...being Asian, rice is a staple in our meals...i don't think i would enjoy eating anything without rice...

Hey, hey, hey, Kababayan! I just can't skip rice. God! I've been trying to do that for years. It's unhealthy if I withdraw it from my system right away. But I do eat half-cups only at the office. Well, another thing, I work in a call center so I have a very crazy schedule that makes my body clock go haywire...not to mention, I'm sedentary most of the time. But I do walk/jog during my days off.

There is a lot of temptation out there unfortunately and it does take a lot of discipline to stay away from it OR to limit it to like once a week. I stopped eating fast food a long time ago and if I want to "cheat" for one day a week I will choose a good dessert or something. Not that! Once you are in the mode, you become used to the lifestyle and then the pounds will come off. I think it's harder to maintain than to lose!!!

Hello there, it is hard to lose weight. But you also should have the faith on losing weight. To do so, you need to be careful with what you eat and start doing regular exercise. 1) Have a health and moderate breakfast. 2) Try to have dinner before eight o’clock in the evening. 3) Try to walk as much as you can daily. 4) Drink lots of water and eat lots of fruits if possible. Since you are just 25, it is much easier for you to lose weight than the old people. All the best!

The crap food that is pawned on us all. Very little of it good for us to eat. Take a look at thedailyplate.com. It lets you track what you eat and gives you goals. It doesn't try to make you change. I've lost 1 pound a week for 4 weeks, my wife has lost 10 in 4, and mother in law has lost 21.

It's just a matter of discipline, you have to maintain what you've been doing in losing weight. Some are just too stubborn in continuing it, since they thought that everything will work out fine once they finally reached their desired weight. I, for one has been on that stage one time. But I maintain it through continuously doing my exercise regiment, though I still eat much and drink occasionally. It could be hard if you're not dedicated in doing it and if we start thinking that it is hard, besides there's no easy way of earning something for free nowadays..

What are you doing different? Losing weight is not about dieting. It's about changing your life. You have to make permanent changes in order to keep the weight off and lose it. What are you eating? Are you doing something different to lose the weight then going back to old habits? You need to identify what is triggering you to gain the weight back. Then you can stop it. Good luck! I too am trying to lose some. We all need the moral support.
