Do you cut it into quarters or do you peel it and separate it into sections? I like to peel and section mine. Hubby says he doesn't care, and I don't think he does, but if left to his own devices, he heads for the knife to quarter it. :)

I cut the orange in half, and then I cut each half into quarters.

Hi there... I like to cut my oranges in four quarters, with the skin on and munch them up...

I do cut the an orange to 6 section. With this way, I can feel the orange's taste deeply. I also like to bite the orange. But Im more prefer to blend the orange and drink it as orange's juice. My mother did not like to cut the orange. She manualy opened the orange's skin and separately while eat it one by one ( slow motion ).

Definitely quarters. As a kid I'd peel them sometimes, but I really do think the flavor is different if you dive into it with the meat of the orange freshly opened vs going through the white skin/inner peel thingy (I know there's a name for that, but it escapes me. I much prefer the flavor when it's cut open. Call me weird, but as a child I was told that all macaroni and spaghetti tasted the same too, and I still disagree to this day.

I peel it and separate into sections just you do. I like oranges from Greece, they are big and taste well.

Given a choice i.e. I am not too lazy, I would prefer NOT to cut it. I rather slowly peel away the skin. This will help preserve the natural "cutting" inside the fruit and I will be able to eat the orange piece by piece. Somehow I think the taste this way is better lol.:P

I have done both. Sometimes I do not feel like taking the time to peel and separate the orange into sections and I will just quarter it. Other times I peel it. It depends on the amount of effort I want to put into the process.

I juice my oranges when I can. When I can't, I cut them in halves than into 3.
