Mylot vs Helium

I have signed up for two sites and I think Mylot blows Helium out of the water. There was really no chance to earn much on Helium and you had to write way more so articles tended to be dragged on. I was on Helium for over three months and made around 50 cents. Has anyone else signed onto Helium whats your thoughts comparing the two?

I was writing Helium articles before I found MyLot and now I spend more time writing at MyLot. I look occasionally at the Helium contests and marketplace offers to see if there is anything I can write about and I enjoy taking part in the debates when I find a subject I feel strongly for or against. At MyLot my earnings are many times more than earnings at Helium. You can enjoy being an active member of both but I think from your first sentence that you already know which one is the best.

i think i tend to agree with you somewhat. maybe for those who are really terrific or good writers do well since they also have contests as well as market place there. but i find it tough too. i haven't even got 10 cents and i have been there maybe for 2 months? of course, i haven't written that many articles too of course.

yea it seems like you have to be a professional just to have people accept your article...kinda stupid.

i am not a member of helium so i don't know how it works... but i had been a member of mylot for over a year now and i am really really happy with this site... even though the payment is not that high, but it is the best online paying site that i had found so far... they really pay for your efforts and contributions and i think they are fair enough...

I like both mylot as well helium but there is little difference mylot is about giving opinion and helium is about writing articles. If you are good writer Helium is good place and you can earn much more and also they run writing competitions too. I like both as both are important and both generates some pocket money for me.

Of course, they are two different sites with different characteristics. However, here at mylot, you can write and respond and share your opinion. At helium, you really have to bring out your writing skills and make a good article out of it, you have make something that really sells. Well, whenever, as long as you can enjoy and have fun, it's both good!

I like Helium alot. I am earning about say, $20 a month with just less than 100 articles. Well, it is a site for serious writers. You need to put in efforts in order to earn more in Helium. Not a bad site for me as writing is one of my hobbies. As for myLot, it is more carefree and fun. It does not require you to give a extremely deep though. Just my thoughts.

Mylot and Helium are two completely different types of sites that can't be compared. Mylot is for social networking. It is informal and does not require any writing skills. Helium is a site for serious writers. It's true anyone can write there, but only serious writers can expect to make money. As opposed to the informal social forum here on mylot, Helium is a place for writing well organized, thought out and informational articles. If you do that, and do it well, you will earn money on Helium. Plus, Helium gives you the opportunity to improve your writing skills, and to rate the other articles on the site. For me, mylot is fun. It's a way to meet people and network, and earn a few bucks. Helium is a way to find out if I have the ability to write for a living, and hopefully, to begin my writing career.
