I just got cable tv and got hooked on the craft shows few years ago. So many fun ones. i am a crafted from the git-go and do so many kinds. Favorites were anything with a needle. I seldom "did" any of the crafts featured, but it was just fun to watch. I was into scrapbooking heavily and the scrapbooking show was very good. But this last year or so, they have taken so many of ahte craft shows off and replaced them with home improvement shows...I rent, I cant do any of that stuff nor could I afford to do it - to many expensive toods and supplies! Where are the craft shows! Bring back the craft shows! I like Carol Duvall for general crafts, Sandi Genovesse for scrapbooking and those went off last year, a new one came up called Coast to Coast (I think( and it showed regular people doing crafts in their homes and such a variety of crafts and all it was fun to watch. Then Junky to Funky - well, good try, but if their Funky is the best they can do, in my opinion, I'll just stick with the junky and then the B Original...okay, but it didn't stay long either. So....what was your favorite craft show then and what is it now?

I don't really recall the names of the craft shows I used to watch from time to time. When I wasn't crafting, I would only watch a show if I came across it while flipping through the stations (although I do remember the name Carol Duvall) I do watch Martha Stewart when she has an Etsy seller on her show and I'll sometimes turn her show on when I'm sitting at my crafting table...but I get so involved with my creating that I couldn't tell you anything about the show...lol

Martha Stewart does have good crafts - love them! but I can never find what time or channel her show is on.. it seems to change often. But I always watched her show for all the stuff she offered.

If you go to her website, I belive she has a section where you can punch in your zip code and the site will tell when her show will air in your area and on what channel. For myself, she's on NBC in the early afternoon and on a cable station in the evening...but I'm sure each cablestation is different.

I used to watch Carol Duvall quite a bit and enjoyed most of her shows. Occasionally she'd have something on that just didn't interest me, but for the most part they were pretty good. I don't watch much TV during the day now so I wasn't aware that she'd been cancelled. That stinks.

Yeah, she has some I did, some I just watched and some that didn't interest me, but I'd just get up and get something to eat or do a chore during that phase of the show. That is what I liked about her show - variety and all kinds!

I noticed that recently too. We didn't have cable for quite some time, then my family finally convinced me to re-connect it and you're right there are barely any craft shows on now. I'm not sure the woman's name, but there was one with an older woman that showed all different types of crafts- she seemed to often wear vests if that helps narrow down who I am talking about lol- anyway, I liked that show & haven't seen it in ages. I'm guessing it's off the air too.

You are probably talking about Carol Duval -older women with glasses, short hair? Don't remember much about her dress as I was always looking at hte craft but her personality was very enjoyable! She had sucha variety of crafts and I like the viewers box thing - where people would send in pictures of the crafts they do and she'd show them on air. She was on for years and year!
