How often do you recharge the battery on your cell phone? I only charge mine when it needs to be charged. I check it every day, especially if I am going out that day, and if the line is on one or less than I plug it in. If it is on tow or more I don't plug it in because I was told that if you charge it before it needs to be charged, it loses some of its memory and only will charge to the point that it was charged to. For example if you plug it in when it is only half charged after awhile it will think that is all the cahrge it can take and it won't charge past the half full mark. Have you ever heard of this? Do you know if this is true?

I have heard something to that effect years ago. I do not think it is true. Normally I charge my phone every other night when I sleep. That seems to work well for me. If I have used my phone more than normal in one day, and the battery looks low I charge it that night as well.

I am not in for carrying the charger along with me to my workplace so i have a habit of putting my phone to charge in the night and would switch it off only by the day. Its on all night as i know that it will just charge to the optimum level. I dont have much of battery left by night as i use the phone all day long apart from my contacts for internet too where in i need to keep track of share prices and take investment decissions. As far as your issue about loosing memory and half charging is concerned i have never heard of such issues and have never faced this practically too.

I heard about that also before when I purchased my first mobile phone but didn't follow that instruction and I didnt have problems with the battery. I've had already changed into 3 or 4 mobile phone. Now I charge my celphone when there is only one bar left. I can use it for 2 days just for texting alone without calls. If there are calls, I had to charge it often.
