We recently went to a party at a friends house and someone else who came brought this hot artichoke dip. It was delicious and can't find a recipe. I also can't remeber what we used for dipping. I know it wasn't chips. Does anyone have some recipe for this dip and could you tell me what you serve it with. Thanks in advance.~D

6 Tbsp butter
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
1 teaspoons minced garlic
1 1/2 cups milk
6 ounces grated Parmesan cheese
1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
Melt butter in a medium, non-stick saucepan over medium heat. Add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring with wire whisk until smooth. Add milk, a little at a time, whisking to smooth out lumps. Stir in Parmesan and pepper. Remove from heat. Stir in a can of artichoke hearts that have been roughly chopped. Put in a baking dish and bake at 375 degrees for about 20-25 minutes. Serve with a crusty bread. I like to slice it up and toast it in the oven for a few minutes.
You can add some spinach as well and make a spinach artichoke dip.
