why is it that kids doesnt want to go to school?

Have you ever asked yourself if public school is right for him? Have you ever considered homeschooling? I ask these things, because I have three children, who were all having problems and the schools where I was at, wasn't doing anything to protect them, and were leaving them behind educationally. It isn't for everyone, but if you are able, consider homeschooling your child, children should be able to learn in a relaxed enviroment, only you know if you can provide that. Once I did that, I started to consider homeschooling myself, then my child was hit by another kid, for no reason, and was kicked out of school for it. The school never bothered even to call me and I am always in the schools business, or was, until that day. I gave verbal notification, that I was withdrawling my children and I would have it in writing the following school day. Well you haven't told us how old your son is. I know that I hated school and left school at the age of 15. Some people just do not suit to a classroom enviroment and I would say I definately fell into that category.

If your son has previously liked school and has suddenly started not wanting to go I would suggest there is a strong underlying reason behind it, such as bullying, peer pressure of some sort perhaps cos grades may be low, doesn't like a particular teacher, doesn't enjoy a particular lesson or depending on age it could be I just can't be bothered with school would rather be doing other stuff. If he is of an age where he can get part-time work after school or at weekends providing his school work doesn't suffer I'd allow him. Ellie :D

There are a lot of reasons why someone wouldn't go to school. Right off the bat I could say that I don't want to go to school because I want to sleep in, in the morning, I want to play video games all day, or I'm addicted to MyLot so much that I really don't want to do anything else during the day. Dang, this is a vague question, but I'll do my best. First of all, they might have bullies that pick on them, they might have teachers that are mean, they might have a test that day, or homework they didn't finish. Most kids don't want to go to school because it is boring and they want to stay home and have a lot of fun. But for me, I have a huge test tomorrow and I have no idea why I'm not studying, ok that's it, I'm not going to school tomorrow. Just kidding, I always make school a priority no matter what.
