When your discussions don't get any response..

What do you do?
I have a few unresolved discussions because I got no response to mark as best response.
Do they stay there until someone responds?
If so, that is going to bug me!!
If it were my way, I'd respond to my own and mark myself best responder!! ;)

Can we do that? mark our own replies as best responder? that would be cool! haha I have few discussions that have no replies, because when I check there was a lot of topics about it already. I think it would stay there for long, I saw few topics that has no respond at all that has been here for a couple of months already..Sooner or later someone will notice that topic and respond to it

No, they will forever stay there. As far as I know, nothing gets deleted unless you violated the rules.
If I don't get any response in a discussion, I'd probably beg my sister to reply to it so that it wouldn't get buried, and the chances of it being responded will increase. But of course, that will be if I'm really desperate seeing as my sister is an inactive member. And also because I always get atleast one response in my discussions, so I'm already satisfied.
