What is the highest bid you are willing to call? Of course, your willingness will depend on benefit to cost ratio (BCR), and risk and benefit evaluation. So what risks and benefits you see with mylot as your own business enterprise?

It depends. I would like to see yearly revenue for the last year and cost of running the business. It all depends. I am not big jumper. It can be worth anything from 5K to 120K, depends on yearly revenue. The risk is always there for any business. Popularity depends on many factors and is changing.

Not really... I would need more info. 1. number of hits per day 2. total number of employee to run daily operation 3. total monthly payroll 4. total cost of operation 5. prof of monthly profit before taxes. It is much more to take into consideration.

Well for first point, you can consult Alexa or any web monitoring site. Number of employees are around 15. Rest, I am not so sure about! Oh, come on pola, just give it a guess and call your bid, already!?:-) We are not going to buy it, are we? In routine business practices, one doesn't know all the variables either, it takes business acumen when it comes to that and you, my friend, have it, I believe! :-)

Hello polachicago, You sure seem to be a prudent investor!:-) Ok, what if I tell you that present estimated worth of mylot.com (the site, not the company behind it) has a worth around 5.5K. Given that it started on March, 2006, will it help you make a decision?

I don't know how much I can bid for my lot in an auction.. Even if I had that much money to bid for mylot and buy it, how would I manage it.. No way baba... I am very practical.. I do not have any chance of turning it into profit by managing it by myself. I do not have that much knowledge of these things either. I would not even think of doing it..

Hello madlees, That's a good question, how to manage!? Perhaps you could hire the same management that is working now! what do you think?

No baba, I do not want to think of buying something like this . I am in total awe of this place, such a big and friendly place.. why should I buy and spoil the ambience it has created.. I am happy with how it is. Let it be.

Kamran, I do not think I would even offer up a bid for MYLOT.COM at auction. Even if It could be proven lucrative and sustainable over time, I do not think I would be interested in this kind of investment. I would think that a venture such as mylot is very time consuming and demanding. I am not a person to leave an investment in someone else's hands. I have to be involved and control every decision and turn of events. At this point in my life I am not willing to invest that much babysitting into an investment. I have far to many other pots I want to boil to be embroiled in something that is all inclusive of my time.

No body seems interested in bidding, Angel! I guess, I'll have to take the deal off the table!:-) On a serious aside, I do think that it will be too time consuming to engage in investment such as this, especially when one is not willing to just hand the responsibility over to someone else. I, too, usually like to take charge and control of things directly attributable to me, mostly because, anything that bears my signatures must reflect me both in business and appearance terms. So, I see your point there. I have, however, made investments as a silent partner, but that were mostly about a completely different scenario and reason! Thanks for sharing!:-)
