has your mother ever asked u to change your cellphone message alert or ringtone?

i can't believe it! my mother went as far as meddling with my cellphone "affairs"! this is the first time that she said a thing about my cellphone. i thought she just wanted to manage my life. now she wants to manage my cellphone too. ^__^;; but i'm not really angry about it.
in fact i laughed about it when she asked me to change my message alert this morning. but i was really surprised. i never thought my mother would care about it. she said it was really SCARY! LOL well it was supposed to be scary! LOL it sounds like background music for halloween after all. ^__^;;
i got it from an anime, Jigoku Shoujo Futakamori. it was the background music playing when a boy under a tree was feeling depressed and he was singing a very sad song. i just thought that the music was so creepy. and it would be fun to make it as my message alert. so i saved the video and recorded that part. ^__^;;

hehe.. nO wonder your mom ask u to change the tone.. LOL ^_^ i guess it really freaks her off.. But actually, the rone is still quite ok to me.. Not as eerie as i tot to be =P
But my mom will never ask me to change my hp tones because when i'm at home, i will set my hp to a completely different profile.. LOL

its not that eerie right kun?? i actually think its kinda funny. when i was riding a bus last night, someone sent me a message and there goes spooky! i think some people was looking for the source of it. i didn't bring out my cellphone until the alert was finished. ^__^;; my friend and i was laughing about it.
isn't it quite a hassle to change your profile every now and then?

i don't think they were scared. i think they were weirded out. ^__^;; they probably thought that the owner of the cellphone was really weird to choose a ringtone like that. ^__^

no. first i am too old for her to be meddling with my cellphone, second i dont live with her, third its my children are the one who is telling me to change my message alert. not for it is scary it is because they want to request a song for me to put. lol.

ohh i dont let them change it, they know that i will get angry if they do that. they just request. they requested for clumsy by fergie so now my message alert is clumsy. my ring tone is anata dake mitsumeteru.... yes slumdunk. wink wink

i change my mother's ringtone into something that i think she would like. like when she liked the song "way back into love", i put it in her cellphone and made it as her ringtone. but she doesn't really like any particular singer or songs so its hard to guess what songs she would like. but if we put something like a recorded laugh of my niece or my 3-year old nephew singing, she would definitely love it. so we're safe there. ^__^;;

hey thanks for sharing that, i'll definitely check it out. there were times when my mom did ask me to change my ringtone! she's like "what's that song you got there? can't you change it to something else?" ..and sometimes she complains that it's too loud or something haha.

No she hasn't. But she had often told me to lower the volume, or turn it silent. hehe. There are times when I'm very busy, i just forget my cellphones, and there are already messages accumulating, some very important too. That's why i turn the volume up, to make sure I won't miss any messages. But most of the time, it's pretty low. She normally doesn't have any problem with it. Just a few times. Especially if there's an exchange of messages going. That drives her crazy.
But no, I've never spooked her with anything. That's my sister's job. hehe.

my mother usually don't have any problem with the volume of my cellphone because hers is equally loud too. LOL this is really the first time she had said something about it. ^__^;;

That's good. I have a problem with my mom's cellphone volume being too low. There are days when I text her to ask something important and it would take ages for her to respond. My siblings have a problem with this too. Because sometimes, they would text me or call me, asking if I'm home, and if they could talk to our mother, or even just ask me tell her that she has messages. lol.

Crazy is the only song of him that i know. :p so i can't say if i'm a Gnarles Barclay lover. but he really has a good voice.

no she never told me to change the ringtone or message tone, but thing is that I do not see any problem keeping something different in cell, as nowadays there are so many of it,sometimes with common ringtones and message tones it becomes tough to recognize your own cell is ringing,so better to use something others do not so that you can understand,another thing,you should not disturb others with it, so try to use something else when at home so that your mother does not feel problem

I have never encountered this situation because my message alert is usually gentle and peaceful,even sometimes I missed the messages or phonecalls because I could not hear my alert.:P

No, my mother has always loved my choices in that. She often tells me that I keep her up-to-date with music that is new. But!

don't tell me you left him because he wanted you to change your ringtone?? just kidding. ^__~ i'm sure there's more to that. my mother doesn't meddle with my business more than she should. she usually couldn't care less with my ringtones. its just that one ringtone that made her upset. and i just couldn't help but laugh about it.

This is funny to me. I haven't lived with my mom since I was 20... so almost 14 years =) I don't think that she would care what I used for ringtones or alerts on my phone, and it's not like she (or anybody) has a right to anyway. Thanks for the chuckle!

oh my, funny thing is, she just asked me to change my message alert tone earlier tonight since it irritates her.
but mine's not as scary as yours. it's just a phone ring. according to her, it reminds her of her office which is one thing she doesn't wanna think about since it's the weekend LOL

My mother doesn't care about my ringing/message tone. She is okay with it as she doesn't really know about cell phone. But, I never have a funny or weird tone for my cell phone and so it is not a big problem too. I am just normal and not really up to date cell phone fanatic

Dear Seacretbear,My mother has not asked to stop by inquired were I got that ring tone from may she had liked it. Moreover I just went through the link site it is really a nice one thanks for letting us know. My mum used to have spiritual ringtones most I used to download it her mobile but she never insisting me in changing my ringtones but my sister used to.

I don't have a multiply account so I couldn't listen to the ringtone...but that is a neat site! i might have to check it out...back to the cell phone thing though, my mom never has asked me but she has asked my brothers who lived with her - they had explicit rap music though that she couldn't stand!

Nope, my mother never asked me to change my Cellphone ringtone,,, as she don't get disturb from that, although i always set my mobile phone ringtone to one which don't bother other peoples...

That hasn't happened to me, but I have a basic ring tone. My sister however downloaded Otep for a ringtone, and my mother just stared at her badly when she heard it. She never asked her to change it but sometimes I wish she would because it's really loud. Sometimes we're in a store and it's a little quiet and all of this sudden this screaming and metal music comes on. People always turn to look, it's not that bad. It's just the music is a little disruptive.
