How did YOU first find myLot?

I know this seems like a very simple question but I'm working on some research for a large project and this is a very important question...
Day after day people are asking 'how to I get referrals?' Not just for myLot but most all online earning programs offer downline or referral earnings also.
With over 122,000 members on myLot I would like to know how you first found myLot - I was promoting one of my other programs on a traffic exchange site and happened upon a free downloadable ebook something to the effect 'make 2 cent for typing 2 words' - sure sounded good to me but obviously we all know this is against myLot guidelines and although I did join I don't believe the author of that ebook is still a member (got the boot for cheating).
So, how about you was it a friend, search engine, forum, or some place else? Please tell me.

I was thinking of having something to do after receiving a promo on my internet connection, was searching for something better to do and get paid while sharing my ideas. I am not that into blogging, I find really boring, so I looked for something else and was glad to have stumbled upon mylot on one social (unpaid) networking site.
My first time here was not that easy, since it is mylot where I only get to join and to think that it's an international site makes me feel more pressured!;)LoL
I guess that's how I got here, still here and will stay till I am enjoying what I'm doing..

Well, I do think unless you have a very popular blog it is difficult to actually earn money off them and they do require a lot of time and attention.
I love mylot because you can just pop in whenever and really don't have to work that hard but yet know your going to get paid.
LOL I was nervous my first day here - I spent most of the day just reading and reading and reading. I didn't respond to anything...Glad I'm not like that now :)

Oh that sounds funny even though I'm not familure with the song but yes it does help greatly I hadn't thought of using YouTube and videos - I don't care for or use them but might be a help to others, thank you.

i am not sure when i first time foundmylot. i think by accidentally from search engine. it was on 2006 and if i don't mistake that mylot also founded in 2006. i just fall in love withthis forum. i know that might be i getting absent from this forum but still i want to back in this forum after few sometimes. although perhaps (i hope so not) mylot won't paying anymore, i still would like to back in here :)

I know what you mean - I can't imagine my life without myLot, the friends I've made here, always finding answers or help from people around the world.
Were you looking for a way to earn money or just looking for a place to have fun?

i think i came across mylot when i was googling on how to make extra money on the net hehe! so ever since that i was pretty hooked on mylot. but of course, now it's not about earning money anymore- mylot's an awesome site where you can make new friends and learn new things by sharing knowledge with each other :)

That's funny you say that - I first joined for the money and also to keep actively writing when I didn't have an assignment, then I went to the feeling 'the money doesn't matter', now I am looking to combine both but not a big stress deal for either.

I think that mylot is the best way to practice my english .I'm not English ,but english is very important to my career.So I alway find a place where I can practice my english .Somedays before ,my friend said that:" you should register mylot ,it's one of the best community in internet and even more ,u can earn money from mylot through ur posting " .And now ,I'm here to share my idea and make money like all of you

I found it in a Q&A post on yahoo. I'm brand new (as a matter of fact this is my first post) but I need something to do with my time, and also need a way to make some money. I'd also like to practice writing. I actually just graduated from highschool mid term yesterday, I have no job, so i'm stuck at home. Home is a very boring place but hey maybe typing into this will be some kinda way to vent

I absolutely cannot remember for the life of me. I have only been here a few months, but I cannot recall. I am sure I was referred from somewhere. I am a member of some forums. That must be how. I don't have any friends who are on here.

Oh that's nice, I hope you are enjoying myLot. I referred my daughter but once she got here she didn't care much for it, not much into writing and hasn't been very active at all.

Someone on gather.com told me about MyLot. Before too long there were all kinds of articles on Gather, about people's success on MyLot, and hearing about that made me want to join. I am glad I did. It's been a wonderful year for me, on MyLot.

Hello dear byfaithonly. I got to know mylot from one of my friends, who came to see one day and told me that she was making some online money. At first, I did not believe her, but when she shower me her mylot earnings and her paypal, I had to believe that it is true indeed. She sent me the link while her email to me and I signed mylot with her help. At the very beginning, I did not know much about mylot and was trying to figure it out how it works. So the first month, I was very slow at mylot, but as time went on, I got more and more familiar with mylot and could make my posts increase in a fast way. I love mylot because it has already made my thought flow like running water and it has helped me to type much faster than I used to.

It's one of my secrets and I'm not telling!! Sorry but I found it by mistake when I was trying to say an 8 year friendship but it blew up in my face. Such is life and it was a year ago so that's how basically I found out about mylot. My old name was RealDeal but I cancelled that account out and got a new name.

I am a member of Associated Content. I ocassionally write articles for them. I happen to be reading an article from another member. She had a link athe the end of her article. And the rest is history. Addictive mylot history. She said be carefeul, it's addictive. And she was RIGHT.

Thank you, I hadn't even thought of sites like Associated Content as a method of finding sites such as myLot.
I keep saying I'm going to submit some work there but it seems every time I think of something I want to write someone else has already done it.
Opps doesn't help I too am addicted to myLot and am spending more time here than working on other writing projects :)

and i read some and try it !
one of them is this site and then i read more and more about Mylot , i interest with this site...
cause i can share what i've thought and earn money too...

Hello and welcome to myLot - this is a great place to hangout, make friends, learn new things and earn some money along the way.
The best advice I can give is to make friends - when you start developing myLot friends you'll see that you can help them as well as they will help you by responding to each other's discussions.
Next I would say just post good discussions, keep responding to other people's discussions and make sure you read the guidelines if you haven't already - there's a link at the bottom of every page to those.

Hi Faith,Well this is how i got started on mylot....I was on a site called "Yahoo answers" a non paying site but one i enjoyed very much...Well one day there was a guy on yahoo answers and he asked this question.."Why are you wasting your time here,answering questions for free when you could be getting paid for this?"He suggessted to go to www.mylot.com, and do what wew were doing but also getting paid for doing it...He did not even have his referrel on yahoo answers....He just asked that question...So I went to where he told me to go anf here i am...I think it was a very good move for me....I still will go back at times to yahoo answers but i have better friends here and the bonuses out weigh yahoo answers......

it is just a long way to myLot. a long story, but to shorten it, this is the shortest explanation about how I finally made my way to myLot. :P
I am a blogger and I often make a guest visit to other blogs. and there was a blog which had a link (perhaps the blogger's friends link section) and it brought me to a page which had an article explaining about myLot program. and when I read it, I finally wanted to make a try, and that was how I have finally become myLot member and have met a lot of new and warm friends here. :)

I think I actually stumbled onto it when I was researching survey scams on the internet and someone had put in a guestion about My Lot and the answer was it was a legitimate site and I though I wonder if that is something I would like. And I found it and it was something that I liked very much. It is so vital and so real and all whom I have met have been very pleasant. The discussions are interesting and I love the fact that it is open to people from all over theworld.There is nothing that smacks of fraud like some of the survey sites I investigated. My best survey spot for anyone who is interested is MySurvey for every thousand points I make I get paid ten dollars and it mounts up very guickly. But I love MyLot for more than money more for the fun and the friends and the discussions.

i find the website by accident, those days ,i feel that money is not enough for me ,so i wanna find some ways to earn money on my spare time , first ,i wanna tell mobile phones or other things.but it need time,i am a student,and i need to study ,because i went to internet every day ,i use computer write email and see novels,by accident,i find a website teach earn money on internet,so i am here now

Yeah!!! And i did refer by some of my closer friends who also get paid by a lot of times but i think they did quit mylot a few months ago. And they motivate me to join mylot and earn some money.
