When you read at night, do you have your room lights on? Or do you use your lamp? I often read at night because it's the only time that I can read without much distractions. When I read at night, I use my room lights. My dad gave me a very beautiful lamp which is on my bedside table but I rarely use it when I read at night. I still prefer my room lights. How about you?

I use a lamp, mostly. I generally read before going to sleep, and if I used the room lights, I would have to get out of bed and turn them off. So, I use the bedside lamp, instead.

I know exactly what you mean. I also get to have that feeling every now and then. Like if I feel so lazy that I do not really want to get out of bed just to turn off the lights, I just use the bedside lamp instead.

My bedroom is very small and no room for a bedside table with lamp, so I was having to use the overhead light for a while. I've now got a small clip on lamp that is clamped to my headboard. It is a goose-neck so it's easy to move around and direct where I want the light to go, like moving it away if my husband is sleeping. Perfect solution for me.

Whenever I read at night, I have to read in the living room with a lamp on. My hubby can't sleep with any kind of light on. I prefer using a lamp because it to me is more relaxing. I lay down on the couch with a light blanket and read until I fall asleep.

I do read at night a lot, just before I go to bed. I sometimes have a light on, other times I use the lamp beside my bed. I like to be comfortable. I like having a low light while I read, it kinda sets the mood for the kind of books I read, which are Christian based novels.

If I read at night I normally use a lamp. Just because I have a 2 month old baby and a husband in the room with me. I do not want my husband to be unable to sleep because I have the room lights on and same goes for my son.

I used to read every night for hours at end, usually with the main light on as I found that the bedside lamps didn't give off enough light - not good for your eyes, especially when the print is small. I found that I couldn't put a lot of books down and that I would be reading until the very early hours of the morning, not good when you've got to go to work the next day. Now I'm living in the DR and my boyfriend and I read on the balcony with the main light on until we can't read a word more. The bedroom is now used for the obvious activities, mainly sleeping!

Evening and night time is also my time for reading and I use a small lamp which shines on the pages while the rest of the room is in the shade.
