Spiders as pets

god no,i have a major fear of spiders,that includes little tiny ones that you can barely see,i hate them,can't even watch them on movies or anything,they give me the creeps

no theres heaps of spiders here i like them but i would like a pet snake

I would never keep a spider as a pet, they scare the bejesus outta me. I remember when my partner and I were living up with his parents, I was like 8 months pregnant and I went to walk through the back door and there was this MASSIVE weird red spider above the door, I screamed my head off like a banchee and gave my soon to be mother in law a heart attack too i think. She handled it a lot better than I did though. Needless to say we killed the scary thing and that was that...

I would anytime. I have had 3 Tarantulas in the past and plan on having more. They are very easy to tend to and are also amazing to watch. It is a proven fact that spiders can live without humans but humans cannot live without spiders. Think about that the next time you step on one. It is an expensive hobby though. I spent over $100 on each spider. That includes the spider, the cage, the substrate, and objects.

My son had a tarantula. I wasn't thrilled with it, especially when the cats knocked it off the shelf and it got out. Thank GOD my oldest daughter is an animal freak, studying to be a vet, and wasn't upset when good ol' spidey came out to visit in the dark room while we were watching a movie! lol
