Yep, glad no one was watching but then I get on here and tell all of myLot what it was I was doing:) I love Frosted Mini-Wheats but I don't drink milk so a common snack for me is eating mini-wheats out of the box, dry! Great finger food:) Well, today I've been on the computer pretty much all day and as normal had the munchies so grabbed the mini-wheats which were almost gone and just took the whole box to my room where I've been working... Several hours later the mini-wheats are gone but inside the box, in the plastic bag are crumbs of shredded wheat and sugar that's fallen off the mini-wheats... Now, how do I get those out? First I tried fingering but was gettin more on me than in me. Next I tried the lick my finger and dip it in the crumbs - nope that was taking far too long... I rolled the sides of the bag down the made a little funnel shape in one corner and proceeded to pour the crumbs and sugar mixture into my mouth... This may not sound strange or unusual to you but picturing myself, a grown adult, struggling to get those stupid crumbs out of the bottom of the bag just started me laughing at myself and looking around the room to make sure no one was watching me. So, how about you? Do you sometimes do stupid things not at the time thinking what it might look like to other people? Are you glad no one was watching when you realize what you were doing?

hahaha, I had to laugh, my son loves mini wheats, but with milk and we ran out of milk this morning, so I have the last bit in a bowl waiting for when my husband brings home the milk. In the bowl is like 4 whole pieces and the rest are the crumbs.. Have you thought of putting those crumbs into a bowl and eating it with a spoon? Even without milk, that would have worked..lol

Actually I did think of that and normally would have but am doing my best to be lazy today as I'll have grandchildren again tomorrow. My room is in the basement and the bowls and spoons are all upstairs in the kitchen :) Hey send those crumbs this way though I'll take care of them for you and I'm out :(

I do lots of things that I think are really stupid, or did I say that it's called a DUH moment. I eat cereal the same way, as I don't drink milk either. Sometimes cereal with yogourt is really yummy. I've done the same things you've done trying to get the last yummy cereal product, how about grabbing a spoon, that usually works really well.

Never cared for yogourt either but another one I love to eat outta the box is Corn Pops - not so many crumbs with them :) Spoons are upstairs and I'm being lazy today :)

LOL I am eating Corn Pops while writing this. I was laughing so hard outloud that I actually had to reread all of these. I thought.....hmmm are they actually spying on me right now? EEEEk. I usually catch myself sharing a joyous emotion with someone on tv. If I see something like Simon Cowell giving someone a comment I usually smile for them. Wonder if they know that......

I've sometimes wondered just why they say some foods are 'kids food' - I love sweets and most 'adult food' is healthy or boring. LOL - I enjoy a lot of the same things my grandkids do :)

hate to say this but I feel much better knowing I'm not the only one to do stupid stuff like this :) First thing that came to mind was an old cartoon where the cat was working so hard to get the fish out of the fish bowl without getting caught - I was concentrating so hard on getting those crumbs I didn't notice anything else.

Ha, ha, you better be careful, Faith. This bunny loves to hop in to anyone's house and surprise her friends, lol! With my girl's around, I can do anything I like. The sillier, the better. I am always the last one to finish whatever junk food we're eating. Just turn the package upside down and let all the bits roll into my mouth. Of course I wouldn't dare do it if there's a non-family members in my house. =)

Well little bunny you are welcome anytime and we can just pour stuff in our mouths together. I did get a surprise later last night - daughter called and asked if she could bring the kids over, was taking her 'husband' to the hospital. Of course I said yes but had just put facial on and was about to do a little work on my feet - pumice stone the caluces. Grandkids had a million questions over all that - I would have been better off just forgetting it all.

Yea...Our little ones always asked a million questions, lol! Sometimes, I thought I'm going to have a bloody ears if they didn't stop asking me too much. Their minds...too imaginative and curious. I love to have this French clay, a green stuff, plastered on my face and make a big "BOO" to my girls. They love it.

Faith, sometimes when I am alone and watching TV, if there is something really funny, I might laugh out loud and then feel silly laughing so hard when I am alone. I wonder if other people do that, too. I also sometimes cry when watching something sad on TV and feel silly doing that, but not as silly as I do when I am guffawing alone.

LOL - I don't think that's silly at all, I think that's normal but then opps I do the same thing all the time. My son will come home and I'll be busting up laughing and he just shakes his head at me like I'm crazy or something.

I have reached an age where I don't care if people think I am strange. It is a wonderful, free feeling, like being a kid again. It also makes me feel happy! :)

You are so right and it is freeing you made me think of a line from some song and I only know feeling like a kid again, doing all the things I did again but have no idea where that came from.

LOL - I'm so used to being alone so much it's been an adjustment for me having someone around so much with the grandkids being here so much (I'm babysitting them Mon-Fri days but it was 7 days last week plus 5 nights) I try to watch what I do but it's not always possible and they love pointing out when I do something 'stupid'.

Your discussion had me laughing. I thought I was the only one who did that when there were crumbs in the cearel bag. If it is a cearel I like and the crumbs are sitting down at the bottom of the bag in the box I do take the bag and eat it the way you showed you do. Only in the cearel that I like though. I have done some stupid things in the past and yes I am glad no one was watching.

Well, I am responding on the part of eating frosted mini wheats without milk. I often do this as well, but I tend to pour them into a cup and eat them out of the cup. I tend to be always busy while I am eating, and as my daughters would say a germophopic. So, I don't have the struggle with them as you did today! LOL

LOL - I normally would do that, pour them in a cup or bowl but I knew I would finish the box and as I was going back downstairs (my living area in the basement) between the dog and 2 cats I thought I'd just take the whole thing then could close the box to keep the animals out in between 'munching'. A cup certainly would have been more 'adult' :) and not led to my antics :)

eating cereal - We've all done it at one point or another in our lives!
Oh gosh, one of those stupid moments in our lives.... lol We all have them Faith so don't feel bad. What I do is laugh. It makes me feel better to laugh at myself than to be upset even though I feel a bit stupid I'll still laugh at myself.

For me it's a hot day and I get a cold drink on ice from a fast food place and I have drank all the liquid and only the ice is left, so I rip off the lid an start to eat the ice. Well it never fails that the ice cubes are stuck to the bottom of the cup and while I am concentrating and anticipating that 1 ice cube to fall into my mouth the whole darn cluster of ice cubes hits me right in the face!....lol which makes me laugh and hope no one has just seen me get owned by my drink...LOL.

Has anyone ever tried fruity pebbles sandwiches? They're great and cheap. buttered toast with pebbles inside. I found this when I was in college and a hurricane came around and shut everything down. I never saw the news and didn't know to prepare so, out of desparate measures I found a tasty sandwich.

Oh goodness, you are definitely not alone! lol! There are many times that I'll do something and be glad the kids aren't around to see me! lol! They'd be laughing hysterically if they were! I love Frosted Mini-Wheats too! Hey, do you know of any recipes that will work with all those crumbs? I was thinking about that the other day when I finished a box... too bad I can't make something with these!

oh yes been there and done that. I often get the munchies and decided to make a sandwich with some lunch meat and add some shredded cheese on top. So I sit down at my computer type with one hand and eat my sandwich. soon I see all these yellow squiggly things among my keyboard oh my gosh the shredded cheese is now among all my keys I was so glad no one was aroundto watch me picking out cheese crumbs from around my keys. i finally had to get some q tips and do a real job of cleaning. if my son had seen me he would have had a cow as he would have put it.So if my typing sounds cheesy everyone will know why.
