when you face a problem, where do you turn first? I know for a fact that people deal with problems in their life differently. As we often hear stories and when friends asked for advise, we would often hear...."Well, I could have done it differently.. or I could have not done that!" When you are in trouble, what do you most often do first? 1) Take care of it yourself 2) Call a friend 3) ASk God for help I pondered upon this question for a long time and looked back in my life on how I deal with troubles in my life. Often, I find myslef calling my friends when I have emotional troubles and some, too shameful to bother a friend, I pray to God. At one point, I asked a friend of mine what she does when he is in trouble and knowing my friend to be independent and too proud at times, she answered she takes care of it herself as much as she could. Well, I guess we deal with our problems differently and only few would say that they pray first when they are in trouble. Too often, prayer is not our first response to trouble. We may try to figure out a solution by ourselves, using our own skills or financial resources or we may turn to friends. When none of that helps, it is only then we start to pray. Odd isnt it? Not only that, we pray for instant solution for the problem and does not take time to reflect on the issue and hear what God has to say about it. Now I realize that prayer is more important and its God's reminder that He is just beside you. Now I keep it a point to pray even at times when Im not in trouble and when God reminds me of His presence. After my personal prayer, well I also call my friends for prayer as well. So, when you have a problem or is in trouble, what do you do first?
