Spending is it out of control?

Teachers are losing their jobs in this state in many schools. Class sizes will be growing next year and music and art programs will be cut. Also many foreign languages aren't going to be taught in the high schools. What would you do to stop this problem? The state spends a lot of money for football and won't reduce football spending. Some are suggesting increasing sales tax to give schools more money. I think parents should pay for their child to be in football, so that money is available to help save the teachers jobs.

I think the government should take some effective measures to control that.yes, the education has changed a lot than before, however, what we really hope to see is to become better and better,we hope the children can lead a happy and wonderful childhood life.Everyone should begin to join in this field.Help our children, help our teachers!

I agree help our children make sure the best teachers are in the classroom teaching. Education has changed a lot, but not for the better in California. Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I don't agree on having a sales tax to give money to schools. We already have a sales tax on everything, so this is not needed. I think that we need more programs for young people to learn more in life.. art is great and should not be cut.
