Ok so I didn't grow up in a place where ice and snow were something normal. It was actually quite abnormal LOL WHen I was a kid I didn't have the opportunity to make a snowman, build a snow fort, make snow angels, ski, or even ice skate. Sure I did many other interesting things, mainly the ones that we can make with sand and in a nice warm place, but my limitations in terms of winter activities lasted for over 2 decades. I put on my first ice skates when I was already almost 37 years old. It felt weird at first, because all my experience was with roller skates, the old ones with the wheels paired of two by two, with a wide and stable base. The very narrow point of contact with the ground - ice in this case - was a bit scary. But my kids were young and loved skating, and I decided to try it. Anything would be better than to freeze my behind watching them skate:) I confess I really enjoyed it, and one of the things I look forward each winter is the time were I would just put on my skates and fly ... I just went skating with my daughter and some friends yesterday. We had a great time:) SO.. do you ice skate? Is it something you enjoy or something you did in the past and have not repeated lately? Or do you prefer other winter activities? Which ones?

We don't have snow here and we don't really have a winter season in our country. But I guess most of the Filipinos here want to experience ice and snow. I think it would be so much fun to ice skate. We have ice skating range inside malls but for me it is costly and would get you only for a limited time. I want to be able to ice skate in the future. Your experience made me feel it and I think I will love it too. Have a nice day!

Even though the first time I tried it I was already over 30 years old, I do love to ice skate, and it feels that we can go even faster than with the old roller blades :) Thanks for responding:)
