we had a fairly small wedding group I had maid of honor and two maids and my husband had best man and two groomsmen for the gals I gave them each a solitaire pearl necklace the maid of honor's had a small diamond just above the pearl. I am not sure if memory is serving me right (Its been 20 years) but I think my husband gave each of his attendants a money clip. I think it is difficult to choose a present for the groomsmen.

To be honest, this is the first time I have heard to give gifts for the wedding party. I don't know why either but as far as I am aware, this hasn't been done in the weddings I have taken part in as a bridesmaid. Is it a cultural thing? or is the norm? that's interesting and don't know why we never thought to do that.

It might be a cultural thing, I always thought it was the norm, lol. just a token appreciation gift.

I have my attendants necklaces to wear with their dresses. I don't remember what my x-husband gave his brothers, they were all his groomsmen. For my second marriage it was a very small affair so there were not gifts.
