Another product recall: Pear Juice may be contaminated.

I just heard that there is a recall on two brands of pear juice which may be contaminated. Beech Nut (usually for young children and babies) and President's Choice pear juice are being recalled because it has been found that it may be contaminated.
Is there nothing safe anymore?

Fertilizers, even all natural stuff now, is a big carrier of the harmful bacterias we worry about. A few years ago, there was a recall of some vegetables in a place near us because the crop had been water that was contaminated with the toxins from cow manure that was in the soil from another nearby farm.

I heard that on the radio this morning. It is said that it's contaminated with arsenic! I have no idea how that could happen, and am just glad that my kids aren't drinking that anymore. We used to go through a lot of pear juice when they were infants (I preferred it over the apple juice). Granted, we only used Heinz products, because we got them at a discounted rate from one of their factories near where their paternal grandparents live.
