This is mainly for my friends and dear myLot members who might be wondering where I went - Ok ok only been a few days but I had been doing pretty good at touching base here and there. What happened was my daughter called late Sunday night, just about the time I was headed to bed, and asked if I could keep the kids (2 & 5) whom I've been babysitting Mon-Fri for the last couple weeks. I've had them since, day and night, she picked them up late tonight but in the mean time my youngest, 16, got the Gator stuck in a mini pond. Drove on ice but there was a slight thaw today and the Gator went through the ice. He's been out in ice water up to his knees for 5 hours and I went out when the kids left and tried to help the last 3 hours. It's out now and parked back in the shop but he has frost-bite (he ended up soaked from head to toe) and I'm totally exhausted (it hurts just to type this). Little ones will be back in the morning and here until late Friday most likely. Please if you would lift prayers for my son, myself, and my 2 grandchildren who I fear are having a bad time at home - both were awake half the night all 3 nights they were here and neither wanted to go home when Mom came to get them. I may not be able to respond for a few more days but will try my best to catch up come the weekend. Thank you in advance.

Ok, I have had this cold and been on medicine for a couple of days and so forgive me if I seem completely lost here, medicine head makes me think differently..Did you say your son got the gator as in alligator stuck in a pond? Anyways, I did miss you yesterday, but now I know what is going on in case I don't hear from you until this weekend.. I will be praying for you, sounds like you have a lot going on and may the shalom, (peace) of G♥d be with you..

LOL - oh dear I did so need a laugh and you are the one to give it to me. I'm so sorry to hear of your cold and hope your feeling better now but this was the greatest :) I am so sorry to laugh at your expense but no, not and alligator. It's a 'guy' thing a Gator is like a small tractor, 4 wheels, great for hauling things around the property but son loves taking it out on the trails in the woods. Hey if you see under the interest category 'people' 2 boys (one a teen and a smaller one) both covered in mud - they are setting on the 'Gator' LOL that's my youngest son and my grandson covered in mud after 'mud bogging' with the Gator - those white tee-shirts had to be thrown out when they were done :( Thank you for your prayers so very much - and if possible please continue, I'm so tired but have to keep going for others.

Son is doing better thank you, although staying off ice and out of the woods - doesn't want to go through that again. Thank you for the prayers - they are greatly appreciated and needed. If you could please continue as the grandchildren will be back tomorrow sometime and I'm still tired from the last 2 weeks.

I hope things calm down for you soon. Your family needs you and it sounds like they are quite a handful. Take care of yourself and we will look forward to your return.

Thank you dear - they certainly are a handful, to put it nicely but I love them all and pray for things to calm down in all of our lives - although at this point I don't see light at the end of the tunnel.

Thank you dear - right now I am so tired I can bearly move or think. Daughter picked the kids up earlier than I expected yesterday, happy for me but not for them, I was in bed before 7 last night was going to crochet some but was so physically exhausted I couldn't hold the hook. I know reading my friends responses here has helped me through the last few days and just knowing others are out there for me helps and will keep me going.

I was going to say that you had to have had a few busy days with the little ones, but as I read I could see that it was an emotionally charged time as well. Sending a big hug to all of you. Hope your son is better now.

Yes, afraid that's been the story of my life 'emotionally charged' but this last few weeks has been particularly difficult as I have learned why we have kids when we are younger - I'm too old for this no matter how much I love my grandchildren I just don't have the strength emotionally or physically to keep up with them - but this I must do as there is no one else for them. Son is doing better, thank you - some skin damage but I think he can live with it :) he's not going out on ice no matter how thick it is and is thankful it wasn't deeper.

What is a Gator exactly? It is hard for me to imagine being in ice for 5 hours, in the middle of our heatwave. Frost bite must be very nasty. It must be tiring looking after two young grandchildren. Why do you think they are having a bad time at home? My thoughts go out to you & your grandchildren.

Hope you get some relief soon. Your problems seem to happen in cartloads...all at once. Stay strong and rest when you can. We'll be here, thinking of you.

It has been six months since this happened. I do hope that everything is all right and you did not have to spend that much in getting the Gator repaired. Did you find out why your grandchildren did not want to go home? It could have been they did something bad and were afraid of getting punished. I hope your son did not get a cold or pneumonia. I said a short prayer for you and yours so hope it helps.

My prayers are with you and I had noticed that I hadn' seen you here in a few days. I hope that things turn out okay for you and your family. I would ask my duaghter if there were problems at home that could be causing the kids to not sleep. Hurry back but take care of your family first!!

Hi Faith, You and son and grandchildren are being held up in prayer. You are a dear friend and I hate to hear that you are going through this. You are with me in thought. I hope that everything improves for you. I will be thinking about you and appreciate you letting us all know what is going on so we can pull prayer together for you.
