Please help keep me awake

It is very late at night here in the UK (02.35) and I ought to be tucked up in bed. But I promised to wait up for an e mail that I know won't arrive for another hour or two be. But I want to be here when it does. Does anyone have any tips for how to keep going.

Coffee coffee and lots of coffee LOL I got a call this evening and my husband has made it to Atlanta and is currently on a flight home to DC YAY so I have to stay up to let him in around 1.30ish. It's 10.42pm and I have had two cups of coffee so far. I am very wide awake.
If coffee doesn't work, how about putting on a funny movie, sometimes that keeps me awake, or if not, I spend my time catching up on discussions here in mylot :)

Your welcome :) hope you were able to stay up for as long as you needed to.
The hubby is sound asleep and I am trying to catch up before I head to bed very soon. Very happy he is home thanks!

I cannot take any more coffee. I have had way more than my daily allowance (I can only have 2 cups a day). Fantastic news about hubby though. That's really exciting. We shan't be seeing to much of you over the next few days then. Have a great time together. Thank for your support.

I thought you said you were married. Well wake up your wife. Trust me, you will have no problems staying awake, once you disturb her sleep, just kidding. Most people drink coffee or soda. I do not know what kind of caffiene you are in to, but that is a stimulant.

I could wake up my wife. But I don't think that she would see the funny side somehow, but i am sure that I would stay awake. LOL. . But I am thinking about nipping back into bed and warming up beside her. It's perishing here. I cannot face any more coffee. I shall just have to grin and bear it now. Thanks for your support. Can I laugh at you in the closet yet. I really want to, but I haven't dared.

That must be a pretty darn important email to have you up waiting. All I can suggest is coffee, tea or mylot. Hopefully, it arrives soon and you can go off to your warm and cozy bed.

Oh dear! Why can't you sleep for a short while, and set the alarm to wake you up in another hour?
I can't help you too much with staying awake. It's almost 11pm here, and I'm just about ready to go to sleep as well. You see, I didn't get much of a sleep last night, because I had a friend stay overnight. ;)

I actually did go to bed at 9 and got up again at 12.30. If I let myself go to sleep now I know that I shall sleep through the alarm, wake the rest of the house up and not be popular! But there's only so much coffee that I can drink and TV that I can watch. But thanks for the encouragement, pleased to see that you had a friend to play, stay I mean. Must be lovely to have he company, to talk and do things of a mutual interest late into the night!! LOL. Is it me, or is the Lot very quiet tonight.

I am not paying much attention to this site tonight. I'm too tired to get into any decent discussions.
Yes it was nice to have someone to play with last night. Hopefully there will be another playdate next week as well. Only next time, I'm totally gonna kick is a$$ in guitar hero!!!

As you know I have no appreciation of Guitar Hero. But I hope that Mommy is letting the boys get on sometime. Perhaps there needs to be a second guitar introduced to the family. What a little Von Trapp family that would be. There's already been a ? and McCartney I think. But maybe there's room for another.
